From the makers of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry, comes a warrior’s brutal journey into myth and madness. Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover.

I really wanted to get into this game. I think the way this game handles mental illness is phenomenal, and the story so far is really good! It's just.. the actual gameplay kind of sucks, I'm sorry. It's a walking simulator with a few puzzles, which sucks because I LOVE Death Stranding 1 and 2 to death, and that’s a walking sim through and through. So to see Hellblade not hit the nail on my head makes me kind of sad ngl. Maybe one day I’ll come back and realize that I’m a fat chud and I’m wrong. However, despite me saying this, ♥♥♥♥ you, Microsoft, for shutting down Ninja Theory after they JUST announced a game at an Xbox Showcase, just like you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over the Perfect Dark game.
A dark and emotional game that blends Norse mythology with a story of a warrior, Senua, and her struggles with severe psychosis as she travels through Helheim to save the soul of her fallen lover, Dillion. Combat is simple but incredibly satisfying. I really loved the character designs for the enemies and bosses. The final fight itself was poetic, the longer you spent fighting, the greater sense of relief that hits you when it's finally over. Definitely sums up the message for the entire story. The audio is a *chef's kiss*. I saw a recommendation to wear headphones and couldn't agree more; it made the whispers, voices, and doubt feel incredibly real, adding to the games tension an really adding to the immersion Hellblade tells a powerfully emotional story. The visual elements for the entire game are beautiful...in a haunting way, Ninja Theory created a world that felt both eerie and breathtaking. It is an easy recommendation.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Excelente jogo, recomendo bastante!
Pyhsicology horor linear 👍
Played for two hours and start physically sighing at the repetitive elements. Even though the environments and the subject matter was cool and interesting, I just cannot sit through any more of these puzzles, they are not difficult or engaging just tedious
It's well-made, looks good visually, and atmospheric and all that, but it's ultimately a 5 hour game with cutscenes that are way too long (especially the intro, good lord it was like 10 minutes of unskippable canoe rowing), the same few cheap lame puzzles over and over split up by a handful of combat sections. The best part is the combat, and the combat is done better in the Dark Souls games anyway, and I'm not even a huge fan of the Dark Souls games but the combat is meatier and even with just R1 spam and rolling it has more variety than the combat in this game. One of those games where you can basically get the same experience from watching a walkthrough of it on youtube. You know you're in trouble when the game wins BAFTA awards and is considered prestigious. If you're into that kind of "cinematic experience" that's more about cutscenes than gameplay, you'll like this, but otherwise there are a lot of way better games out there, just go play those instead.

Sharing my full walkthrough: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL957yPFpIoy_LUQ1vJlm7-1LEpuUvrL7u&si=XbB21MGVxNxAM7WC Summary: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is an action-adventure game that follows Senua, a Celtic warrior who travels into the Viking underworld of Helheim to save the soul of her deceased lover, Dillion. Haunted by visions and voices that she calls the Furies, Senua's journey becomes both a physical battle against Norse gods and warriors and a deeply personal struggle with her own fears and memories. As Senua explores the dark and mysterious world of Norse mythology, she must solve environmental puzzles, overcome supernatural enemies, and confront traumatic memories from her past. The game uses its audio design and visual effects to place us directly inside Senua's perception of the world, making her psychological struggles an important part of the experience. The game provided me an amazing experience with intense combat, mythology, atmospheric exploration, and emotional storytelling, delivering a dark and deeply personal journey about loss, trauma, and the strength to keep moving forward. Great game.
I first bought this game in 2020 and played it for a couple of hours until abandoning it for years because it was very slow-paced and not necessarily in the genre I favour. Years later, I was willing to give it another go and was absolutely blown away that I am now going to buy the sequel. This is art. This is a journey into mental illness and Nordic Mythology. It requires PATIENCE, but is a very rewarding ride. Don't treat it like a game, it's an interactive film. Yes, very much a railroaded, linear experience, but the story, research, characters, voice acting, and artistic direction are of the highest standard. I highly recommend this ride - just be prepared to have a slow-paced experience with an occasional beautiful battle sequence. Everything changes, a lot of it is perception. When you don't feel like you are progressive, step outside the box and pay attention to details. Kudos to the team. Can't wait to experience Part 2 and (from what the rumours are, an upcoming Part 3).
