Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
About

Enter the explosive conflict of the Vietnam War and fight your way through some of the fiercest clashes in modern history. Join the battle raging across an extreme landscape of vast mountain gorges and thick jungle, where the North Vietnamese Armies clash with the military strength of the US Armed Forces. Build tunnels, fly helicopters, drive patrol boats, use historically accurate weapons and work with your team to achieve victory.

Take the battle to the enemy across 6 large-scale maps inspired by real world locations. Play as either the North Vietnamese Army or US Armed Forces and choose from one of 17 specialised roles within a 50-strong team made up of multiple squads. Join or lead infantry, recon, armour, mortar squads and helicopter units, using communication and teamwork with your fellow players to identify objectives and ruthlessly exploit your opponent’s weaknesses. Emergent gameplay features bring intensity and realism to the conflict, as players tackle each battle with authentic weapons, orders and tactics. Follow the chain of command and work together as a team to meet your objectives and achieve victory.

In the heat and fury of the Vietnam War, the battle is more dynamic than ever. New US aerial units feature fully operational helicopters for fire support and supply drops. NVA forces can build extensive tunnel networks to gain the upper hand with surprise attacks. Both sides can hunt the enemy through Vietnam’s complex river network with heavily armed patrol boats built and launched to seek and destroy. Enhanced player movement, including swimming, climbing and fast crawling, and interactions such as dragging co-combatants away from active fire to give them a chance to heal and re-engage, all adds to the immersive battle experience.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam features multiple distinct gameplay modes pitting players against each other in epic 50 vs 50 multiplayer battles. Warfare mode is a 50 vs 50 tug-of-war style confrontation where two teams fight for control over 5 sectors. Offensive breaks down the opposing forces into an attacking side and a defending side. Alternating new game modes mix up the gameplay parameters to maximise the battlefield experience. This is as immersive as warfare gets!

Don't listen to the negatives... the game has its issues, but if you are looking to experience that barebones FPS feeling we all got in the 2000s, this is the game.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Great game
Expression games did a pretty good job at making a HLL game that does a pretty good job of being different enough from HLL WW2 while also being its own thing. As a lifetime Squad Leader in both games I noticed Vietnam can be a much more 'chaotic' experience in a good way. Where enemy helo's or tunnels can get behind on flanking positions much more often. Which creates a really fun and frantic experience trying to defend and attack. It helps break up the pace to what I think its more 'frontline' focused predecessor. I also think it does a pretty great job differentiating the two factions, I think the faction differences shine the most when players are more skilled at the game, where tunnels and helos are necessary to understand to win. NVA won't win without proper tunnel management, and the US will need helo squads running supplies and transports. Where it can be a game of prodding where the enemy has no presence to get a backline garry, or flood a landing zone with a lot of troops. Unfortunately that is where I think the game is fighting an uphill battle. HLL Vietnam almost requires the player to have a good fundamental understanding of game mechanics to get the most out of it. Also a team that is communicating will usually stomp one that isn't. This can be a good and a bad thing. The game doesn't tell you that if you spot a garry, radio it up to SL, who radios it up to everyone else and marks it on the map, can change the game. It doesn't tell you if a lowly rifleman's ping on enemy infantry led to an airstrike or not. It doesn't tell you that a good SL should be marking infantry on the map, so everyone knows where to be more alert. The game doesn't tell you that if ally armor is watching the road, it's generally safer to maneuver. The game doesn't tell you that maybe helo's should try to setup backline garries. The game doesn't tell you that that it is oftentimes better to not fight directly for the hardcap, but territory around it, which once secured will help capping the main point. /end rant. With all that said, if you're willing to get a good grasp on the tactics and understand (by the developer's own admission) that it's not trying to be as cinematic like Squad or Arma, but more of a strategic FPS. It's a gem of a game. I've already had some good combined arms pushes, great flanks, and some good strategies pulled off. It's great to see an FPS try to tackle that and pull it off so well.
Good shooter, need some updates but if you are looking for rising storm vietnam v.2 this is it!
nice
You aint got no Legs lieutenant dan
So love the game as a whole, but i do think that the leveling system for the classes needs to be bumped up, two games , 2 classes, not even one bump in rank. my over all level went up, np but the classes rank xp needs to be buffed.
good game played it on ps for a while then got it on pc and it is alot better GG
