BTW / SQUAD '17 REVIVAL, 2026. BRING IT UP PEOPLE! THIS GAME IS AMAZING, WE JUST GOTTA START PLAYING AGAIN!
This game is sadly dead, during the short time it was alive I managed to sneak into the enemy trench and beat 7 people to death with a club. That was a highlight for me, I wish it wasn't dead.
all i ask for is one more day...
Game WAS pretty good, could compare it to that of the likes of Isonzo or Verdun but with a touch of squad or hell let loose in it. There was something about it I really enjoyed when the player count was still there. The menu music gave me the best chills you could ask for. I really did like this game, truly its just a shame its just not what it used to be any more. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME ANYMORE DUE TO THE PLAYERBASE JUST NOT EXISTING ANYMORE
great platform, but has been dead for as many years as I've owned it. :( the WWI series struggled with the same problem when I first invested in verdun, still hoping this one will still find enough players to revive. -- I can see on SteamDB that there has been an influx of as many as 20 players on a regular interval of 7 days; is there a group with scheduled games going now? if so please let me know, cuz I want in on that ;)
man what a shame, great ww1 game good graphics but dead,, very dead they stopped updates and the player count left and i bout it to late and forgot to get a refund
It’s essentially a mix of Rising Storm, Hell Let Loose, and Verdun, with a strong focus on WW1 realism and some interesting touches, such as soldier apparel, battlefield weapons, and gun sounds - which are absolutely one of the game’s highlights. However, as other reviews have noted, the game feels like a ghost town: three servers available with bots, and zero players in sight. Maybe next time… I don’t know, advertise your game, run a big sale, something like that? Hm?
For many years, I dreamed of a proper WW1 milsim. I was an avid player of Squad and Post Scriptum, and although I was a huge fan of Verdun, it just didn't quite feel like much of a milsim. And then, 2020 rolled around, and despite the difficult year that was for all of us, it granted me that wish of a proper WW1 milsim. I cannot express how much of a blast I had spending each and every day I could with that game. And then just as quickly as it appeared, it died. Completely flatlined. I cannot for the life of me understand how a game like this died so hard. It was perfect, it's what every ww1 nerd like myself wished for. The only reason I recommend this game, is in the hopes that maybe someday, there will be a resurgence in players, and that a community will grow back again. Sometimes I even play with bots and reminisce. Please, play this game people. Bring it back form the dead.
This game is so dead it's probably being played by Jesus and the Apostles right now.
its peak, but its dead
