About
Join the chaos of war and be a part of the most iconic battles of WWII across the Eastern and Western Fronts as well as North Africa. Key battles include Carentan, Omaha Beach, Stalingrad, Kursk and more. Hell Let Loose drops you into the action, where you will have to fight across fields, bridges, forests, towns and more war-torn environments! Lumbering tanks will be dominating the battlefield and crucial supply chains fuelling the frontlines, you are essential to the colossal, combined arms warfare.
Take to the battlefield in this squad-based, 50v50 multiplayer game, and choose one of our 14 roles available within the Command, Infantry, Recon and Armour unit types. Play as an Officer, Spotter, Medic, Tank Commander and more, to experience every aspect of World War II combat. Each role is equipped with different historical weapons, vehicles, and equipment that are intricately detailed, bringing the realism to the brutal and bloody warfare. Unit focussed gameplay is crucial and when done well can command the tide of battle.
The combat takes place across huge, to-scale maps, recreated by utilising aerial and satellite imagery of real battle locations in stunning detail using Unreal Engine 4. These realistic battlefields are divided up into large capture sectors allowing emergent and constantly unique gameplay to evolve between the two forces of fifty players. Work as a team and make continual large scale, tactical decisions as to where to attack or defend.
Hell Let Loose is not about kill to death ratios – teamwork is central to gameplay. Communication is essential. Players work together beneath the leadership of Officers and their Commander to take strategic targets on the battlefield and dominate the opposition. In Hell let loose, it’s always better to tackle things as a team. If you think you can handle the chaos of war, we’ll see you on the frontlines!

Came to this game after a year or so... Somehow the devs managed to make the graphics look a little bit worse while lowering my average FPS from solid 120-165 to 20-90, depending on map. Your squad leader leaves? Take his role or get auto-killed. I don't care you spent 10 minutes walking behind enemy positions, "kill yourself or we will do it". Voice communication is non-existent, even on pro servers. This was a 9/10 game few years back.
You want a game with glacial progression, convoluted server rules, and the most unfriendly playerbase you've ever seen? Wanna get called slurs by children? Wanna spend all your time in queues for servers that are lopsided and nobody wants to play objectives or leadership? Hop on in. Or don't. Play anything else.
Great game, if you are old like me and have awful reflexes now a days but still enjoy a PvP game. This is the one, you actually progress using strategy as opposed to who can slide cancel y y quickscope shoot faster. By far one of the my new favorite games to play. Can't wait for Vietnam.
Hell let loose is a completely different breed of psychological damage. it isnt even a video game really. it is just a 50v50 social experiment to see how long a human being can hold the w key before having a full blown mental breakdown. the whole gameplay loop is just spiritual torture. you spawn at some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garrison your squad leader built in a flooded ditch. then you just jog through a beautiful french field for like 14 uninterrupted minutes. im usually just sitting there taking a hit off my vape and admiring the morning mist rolling off the trees. then boom. you evaporate into a cloud of pink mist because some tryhard tank gunner clicked on a pixel from three zip codes away. now im just staring at a 20 second respawn timer drinking a pepsi and questioning all my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ life choices. you just repeat this until the heat death of the universe. dont get me wrong the game itself is actually incredible and i cant stop playing it. but the audio mix on the weapons pisses me off to no end. i spend half my week tweaking EQs and mixing tracks in logic and audacity so maybe my ears are just hyper critical but the gunshots in this game are a massive letdown. you are holding a heavy military rifle and it sounds like you are shooting one of those cheap plastic childrens cap guns that come with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ old western halloween costume. it completely ruins the immersion when your buddy gets blown to pieces next to you and your gun just goes pop pop like a cheap toy from the dollar store. in most shooters you actually see the person who kills you but in this ptsd simulator your main enemy is just geometry. you spend 90 percent of your time shooting at bushes that look suspiciously aggressive. if you actually see a living enemy soldier it is usually because you both stumbled into the same dirt crater. you just panic and empty your mags at the ground and then frantically try to beat each other to death with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shovel. and the artillery is just built different. it is less of a weapon and more of a localized angry weather event. there is no taking cover from it. you just have to accept that your torso is about to be aggressively relocated to a different time zone while your monitor shakes hard enough to give you a concussion. the proximity chat is the real horror though. the ambient audio is terrifying which is terrible news for your nervous system. you hear this deafening crack and then immediately a grown man in prox chat starts screaming for a medic with oscar worthy desperation. you will actually bond with a complete stranger in a foxhole for 45 seconds. you learn about his hopes and his favorite pizza toppings and then his head just violently disappears mid sentence with a wet thwack. meanwhile the medics are out here crawling through mud and barbed wire just to stab you with morphine so you can stand up and get immediately shot in the neck again. but the real climax of this game isnt even capturing the objective. it is when the hour and a half match finally ends and you are dumped back to the main menu. you just sit there in the dead silence of your room covered in metaphorical mud with your heart rate sitting at a cool 150 bpm. you are just staring blankly at the wall trying to process the horrific ♥♥♥♥ you just witnessed. my five year old son noah walks into the room to ask for a snack and i just slowly turn to him with a thousand yard stare while the phantom pops of those dollar store cap guns echo in my skull. i just whisper yeah buddy hold on and then immediately click find match for another round like an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sicko. 10/10 flawless masterpiece of sheer unrelenting misery. play it and suffer with the rest of us.
if you kill you will feel bad , if you die you will feel bad , if you loose the match you will feel bad even if you win you will feel bad , yeah man thats what war is
Good game, lots of fun, but you have to play tactically, which means use your brain.
