No longer works on Steam Deck because of kernel level anti-cheat being added to a 10 year old game. EDIT: Looks like singleplayer content is still accessible if you shut off your Deck's wifi connection before launching the game, and then turning it back on after launch. Letting the negative review stand until the devs patch out the check before you even access online content.
I played this game for 100+ hours on ps4 years ago and now that i have a PC, i wanted to play it again. Bad news, it's dead. There was no one playing, i couldn't find anyone to fill a mission lobby and let me tell you, you NEED people to help you with high difficulty missions. Sadly, this game is virtually unplayable now. Save your bucks and go for something else.
This game is good, better than before, but the price for the DLC is a bit too much.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a great example of a game that has stayed alive thanks to its incredibly long post-launch support. At first, the combat system seems fairly simple, but with practice it reveals surprising depth, allowing you to chain together combos and creatively mix different special attacks. Character creation and progression are another highlight, offering plenty of customization options to match your preferred playstyle. The graphics are decent at best, but the PC version is still the best-looking release across all platforms. The soundtrack is serviceable, though not particularly memorable. The biggest downside is the overwhelming amount of DLC. There are simply too many packs, and many of them add too little content to justify their price. Pros: + Excellent long-term post-launch support. + Deep and rewarding combat system. + Great character customization and progression. Cons: - Graphics are only decent. - Soundtrack is just okay. - Too many DLC packs with too little value.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is hands down one of the absolute best games for any Dragon Ball fan. For me, the nostalgia factor is just spectacular—I used to play this on the PS4 when I was a kid, and coming back to it always brings back incredible memories. The game holds up incredibly well. Creating your own character, pulling off iconic special moves, and rewriting history in the Dragon Ball timeline is an absolute blast. The combat is fast-paced, the roster is massive, and it captures the true energy of the anime perfectly. Whether you are a longtime fan or just looking for a great anime fighter, this is a must-play. It's a timeless masterpiece for the community!
it is peak,i very much enjoy the gameplay but my crappy pc cant handle it
It's never a good sign that you can't even read the user agreement because the game won't open in your native resolution and the settings can't be changed before you agree to everything. How can such a large company epically fail before I've even started the game?
Good game, I love it. Pure Dragon Ball Z fan service, and I mean that in a good way, but online is completely broken if you're still on Windows10. This has been a known issue for years but the developers offload the problem onto your shoulders telling you to just update. With the game essentially functioning as a DBZ MMO I can't in good faith recommend if you're on Windows10. If you're desperate you could enable the steam launcher public beta in steam settings to get partial online functionality but there are still issues with online battles. Otherwise its a fun game.
I wouldn't recommend this game if you're playing on a 27-inch 1440p monitor. The outdated textures become very noticeable at that resolution, and the visuals feel dated. Despite releasing so many DLCs over the years, the developers never updated the game with higher-resolution textures. I ended up refunding it and will probably buy Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO instead, or just wait for Xenoverse 3.
Let's see , first and foremost i have played this game a long time ago on my laptop so the nostalgia of playing it again after 5-6 years hits hard . Yes i do have to purchase all the dlcs slowly to get all the characters and other story content especially the future saga content which i am very curious about since it introduced the character Fu. I have only one avatar for the game and have gone upto level 65 till now but I'm gonna keep grinding my level and Build my CAC to be its strongest version it can ever be.
