Half-Life: Alyx is Valve’s VR return to the Half-Life series. It’s the story of an impossible fight against a vicious alien race known as the Combine, set between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2.
Playing as Alyx Vance, you are humanity’s only chance for survival. The Combine’s control of the planet since the Black Mesa incident has only strengthened as they corral the remaining population in cities. Among them are some of Earth’s greatest scientists: you and your father, Dr. Eli Vance.
As founders of a fledgling resistance, you’ve continued your clandestine scientific activity—performing critical research, and building invaluable tools for the few humans brave enough to defy the Combine.
Every day, you learn more about your enemy, and every day you work toward finding a weakness.

Valve’s return to the Half-Life universe that started it all was built from the ground up for virtual reality. VR was built to enable the gameplay that sits at the heart of Half-Life.
Immerse yourself in deep environmental interactions, puzzle solving, world exploration, and visceral combat.
Lean to aim around a broken wall and under a Barnacle to make an impossible shot. Rummage through shelves to find a healing syringe and some shotgun shells. Manipulate tools to hack alien interfaces. Toss a bottle through a window to distract an enemy. Rip a Headcrab off your face and throw it out the window.
COMMUNITY-BUILT ENVIRONMENTS
A set of Source 2 tools for building new levels is included with the game, enabling any player to build and contribute new environments for the community to enjoy through Half-Life: Alyx's Steam Workshop. Hammer, Valve’s level authoring tool, has been updated with all of the game's virtual reality gameplay tools and components.

É um jogo muito bom, mas não achei essa piroca toda como muitos dizem. Pra mim está sendo uma experiência mediana, o jogo não condiz com as especificações da loja, pra mim ele tem uma performance bem +/- rodando em 80/90hz, mas isso pode ser culpa do SteamVR que é um lixo, da Meta ou do jogo mesmo, eu não sei.
Estou tendo que rodar tudo praticamente no baixo, pra não ficar um desempenho porco, talvez por isso que eu não esteja achando ele essa piroca toda. Se você tiver um PC parrudo com 12 de VRAM ou mais, talvez a experiência seja top mesmo. No meu caso eu só tenho 8 de VRAM, é o limite mínimo aceitável, então fico bem limitado.

Game is fun, mechanics are super fun, the combat is amazing but the price... I will never recommend a game that costs 78$ (canadian) and have 8 hours of gameplay, I explored the most I could, got almost all achievements and even then, 8 hours of gameplay. I bought it when it was on sale and I did that right, also, the story of it was just meh, needing to know the entire half life story to enjoy it is meh for 80$, did enjoy that g-man was the prisonner,

Лучший VR-опыт из возможных. Хорошо, что мне хватило мозгов оставить эту игру на попозже, потому что если бы я сначала поиграл в неё, а потом пошёл играть в другие, я бы был в них разочарован. Физика, графика, сюжет, интерактивность мира, музыка, ганплей, даже хоррор-элемент: тут всё на уровне. Жалко, что разрабы забили на VR после этого эксперимента и больше ничего не выпускали. HL Alyx это, наверное, единственная VR-игра AAA-сегмента и одна из тех игр, ради которых вообще стоит покупать шлем. Из минусов могу только пожаловаться на техническую сторону. Вроде моих спеков должно хватать на то, чтобы переваривать игру на высоких настройках, и она отлично идёт в 90+ кадров, но по какой-то причине при подгрузке следующего уровня через раз зависает намертво, хотя и стоит на SSD. Хз чё это, но я готов простить
