it's suprisingly good but people are saying that this game is full of bugs but when i played the campaign i haven't experience any bugs at all
It would have been good if it was not so buggy, it's half life but with 1000 bugs, please fix valve
Its... Its Not the best. Its literally the same game. Not really of a remaster like they claim. There are some changes though, some good, some bad. The decent changes that look somewhat cool but jarring In half life 1 are: water, particles, when you destroy wooden crates you get the broken wood from source engine, ragdoll physica and blood. The few changes that made me raise a eyebrow, one of them Is.... source engine sounds for opening doors on places It should not be. yeah... Im not kidding. that one section in the game where you get the shotgun and have a choice to save barney clone 685 from the zombie behind him. when he opens the door for you It has a sound of a door being opened like one of those doors you open in RP_downtown_v2 when he rolled the valve. That was the only change that stood out to me that I would say was questionable. the worst change I would say was that you are not able to gib the enemies you kill, as whenever I tried to hit them with crowbar, sounds that you get when you hit a metal surface. unfortunate, gibbing enemies and allies was always my favorite thing to do In og half life. the best out of all changes though I would say... was the flashlight. and the fact that you can also push items without it erratically going to some sides you do not want it to. The game Is also very buggy which Is where all my complains go. remember the vending machines in OG half life? one of the coolest small details that brought life to the game, with colorful cans and allowing you to gain small health as you press all satisfying buttons. however, I come across two issues. I sometimes could not use the can whenever I press the use button. whenever I tried destroying them, the colorful cans that would fly out instead looked void-black. even the AI for enemies and other NPC's Is broken. Including the cockroach AI seems to be. Which Is depressing, since they are a small detail yet they are very lively. instead In the source 'remaster' they all are running around everywhere rather than display other intresting behaviours. It just reminded me of the cod Ghosts fish AI.(Not sure if anyone gets the joke or If Im that old lol) even the detail where bullsquids are distracted for a moment from you when you gib enemies or shoot the meat bags in that one freezer level, where It just stops for a moment to sniff before coming to the area where the meat Is and just starts eating it. forgetting you for a moment If you are far enough. Overall. I would not recommend this game unless: 1: you want some new stuff added to gmod. 2: you wanna have the whole valve complete pack bundle or half life complete bundle. 3: you love half life series. My reason was to get it for gmod. I would say get it on sale. as valve makes their games cheaper on sale. If you want to have remastered half life 1 there are better choices. like half life 1 rtx, or half life 1 mmod, mod it however you like, or even better. the black mesa by crowbar collective. Its pretty affordable on sale too. and better than this 'remaster'
This game is basically almost identical to the original, It's still a solid game. The only differences I saw were the ragdoll physics, weirder lighting and reflections, the scientists would either float above or below chairs instead of sitting correctly and the game had a black and yellow seizure at one point. Even though this is the weird cousin of the original it's basically fine. 7/10 xen still sucks tho.
♥♥♥♥ piss ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tits ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥
You can't buy this game directly. You either have to get a bundle with Deathmatch or buy another pack which contains it, such as the Valve Complete Pack. And for good reason too: the game is a buggy mess which I could only get through with mods. Your money is better spent on Half-Life (which got an anniversary update) or Black Mesa (a retelling of the story which was built specifically to run on Source). The only use I can think of for this is mounting it in Garry's Mod.
yea it's janky as ♥♥♥♥ but anyone who says this somehow has more jank than the original forgot what century the original was made in like bruh it literally doesn't run on modern hardware lmafofoofski anyways just play black mesa instead, it's better than both of these
