About
A vast forest teeming with life, Noctful, has flourished for ages under the protection of mushroom magic-wielding elves. However, a deeply resentful oak has cursed and corrupted the forest. As a guardian elf, rally animal allies and use mushroom skills to defend your base and purify the forest!
Defend Your Base and Defeat the Boss
To purify the cursed forest and summon allies, you’ll need the “Mushtower” base. Protect it from the waves of incoming enemies. The enemies will keep coming until their boss is defeated. Use limited mana wisely to send animal allies against the foes and utilize skills to push back the front lines.
Grow Your Deck
Starting from daylight, through dusk, and into the night, enemies grow stronger. Our allies must also become stronger to secure victory. Obtain better animal cards and equip them with hats that provide enhancement effects. Elf skill cards and Artifacts are also crucial to your strategy for victory!
Simple Controls
This game can be played entirely with the keyboard. Use the QWER keys and arrow keys to navigate the battlefield and engage in combat. The same controls apply when selecting nodes and drafting cards.

Scaling builds win. Other builds are pointless. There is very little incentive to taking cards other than the few that scale hard. Once you get one of these cards, the run is an inevitable win, so you're just going through the motions for the rest of it. This heavily limits card usability and leads to a fairly flat experience; most scalers focus on repeatedly playing them, so it's not worth filling your deck with junk. ~90% of cards aren't worth taking. I can only imagine the dev laughed when they put in the little winmore/losemore thing in front of the base (which gives you a relic in exchange for getting obliterated if your deck isn't already a guaranteed win).
Cute and interesting game +++
Surprisingly enjoyable. I picked Forest Heroes up randomly in a bundle and didn’t expect much, but it ended up being more fun than I thought. There are definitely things I don’t love, but overall it’s a solid, more casual take on similar deck/auto-battler hybrids. I played around 25 runs (my playtime is inaccurate because I left the game open) and completed all achievements. After that, I didn’t feel much motivation to keep going (which is fine). What I liked: The upgrade system is very satisfying, especially the unit and hat upgrades. Runs are short and snappy, which makes the game easy to pick up. What I didn’t like as much: The playable elf and crowns feel a bit underwhelming. There are many upgrade breaks between fights; I’d prefer more battles and fewer reward screens. The game is quite easy overall—probably due to the high number of upgrades and the strong draw mechanics (you can redraw every ~5 seconds and instantly draw after playing a card), which makes it simple to keep only good cards in hand. Overall, it’s a fun, lightweight game that’s worth trying if you want something casual—but don’t expect long-term depth. Edit: After reading other reviews, I want to add that yes, the control scheme is really weird. Not having a mouse + WASD option is honestly puzzling. I’m confused about people saying the game gets hard near the end though. The only explanation I can think of is that players let their deck get too big. That doesn’t scale well—keep your deck small, skip rewards and remove bad cards. I always found the first 3 fights to be the "hardest" or rather annyoing since the starting deck is pretty rough, but once you pick up even ~2 good cards, the rest becomes easy because you can recycle them fast or buff them with spells.
cute and relaxing
Cute little roguelike deckbuilder, if you played flash games like the epic war games you'll feel right at home with the gameplay loop.
Интересная игра, нет бесполезных карт
Play Time: 27.8hrs Achievements: 22 out of 23 achievements (250 Mana left.. lets see how long it takes me to get this) Date of original review: July 3rd 2026 Rating: 7 1/3 Forest Heroes: is a “tug of war” game where it's about using your character, animal friends, and spells to beat the evil plants. Nothing more ironic then beating a massive tree with a ton of Acorns. The game comes with 56 allies, 237 Artifacts (aka passives that impact your run), 53 Hats to equipment onto your allies, 17 crowns your character can wear. And of course you have skill cards you can obtain and use. They are unique to your character. You'll come across 15 different difficulties, all of which offer a new challenge for you. In your travel of tug of war you'll encounter the plant baddies whom are semi unique and have different abilities that will impact how you summon or create your allies. On your journey you'll chose either the left side for events or the right side for events. This tiny but very impact decision making can make a difference in every run. P.S. This is very much so a keyboard game. QWER, and arrows. Characters you can play: 3 unique characters that have their own unique play style. These characters will synchronize with animals and builds in different ways based on their skill cards and passives. Each character also has an Allie that works best with them, and are almost useless if you encounter them with another character. Artifacts: 237 Artifacts makes a huge world of difference, and sometimes they just synchronize with eachother and your allies. Artifacts make up a lot of how your build is going to work. The best way to explain them is are they balanced NO, but do they all for the most part make a difference YES. And instead of them having a negative effect on you, you may just have an artifact or two that don't really help your team. Enemies: You'll fight many unique enemies some of which can almost counter your builds. You won't run into them all the time, and some of the bosses you can beat them in different ways than you think. This I found out around difficulty 6, I just so happened to run into a few strategies with a character to beat a boss differently than the previous difficulties. Difficulties: Like most rogue like there is a learning curve to this game, it isn't steep but you will have to commit some time to it. There are over 15 difficulties they each will bring a unique challenge to every fight. And they are minor, in fact I like this method of challenge as compared to “all items or artifacts also have a negative impact”. To go up in difficulty you have to beat the previous difficulty with the same character. Meaning to reach difficulty 15 on all 3 characters you'll have to start from 1 work your way up to 15 on every character. Skills/Abilities: Each character has unique skills and abilities. This is probably why each difficulty level is tied to just the character you beat it on. One you may find play styles you may like with other characters, and two you have to learn builds that will work with them. Honestly I found MANY builds that worked even in the highest difficulties. Random Events & Music: The event decision making was fun, and I never felt like I had a bad option, everything was situational and the as a player I would just have to use my best guess as to what would be the best option for what I'm going for. I liked the variety, granted some events I rarely saw. Music, I can't really say it's ok, it's not amazing. Allies: I love the variety absolutely amazing. And hey this isn't no MOBA or whatever. Balance isn't always going to be perfect and with this game that's absolutely fine. You can synchronize builds that you wouldn't even think of with some allies. For example I think I was on Difficulty 13 and my primary source of damage was the Starting Sling Shot Allie. Yes the first ranged allies you start with, they were my primary source of damage. Same with the starting Raccoons, I've made builds around them. You just have to find what works, and the artifacts will help. Learn your play style and who knows maybe you'll have fun with some little chic whom swarms and then buffs your team. Final thoughts: Honestly the first hour of this game I was semi bored, no joke. I thought the game was just a spam fest. Then I really started to get into the synchronizing portion of the game, the fun unique builds and learning each character. It was enjoyable, and I'm super glad I eventually purchased this game. It's a solid rouge like deck builder. Now lets just hope I don't spend the next 5 hours hunting 1 achievement to 100% the game. Oh I forgot. The keyboard gameplay did take me a little bit of time to get used to but I learned to enjoy it. PROS: Unique Characters Unique Enemies TONS of unique items Fantastic Learning Curve Fantastic Difficulty settings A somewhat boring concept made fun NEUTRAL: CONS: 250 Mana achievement.... no idea how I'm going to obtain it....
게임 디테일 좋고 재미도 있고 잘 만들었음 유닛 선택할때 관련 유물도 같이 보여줬음 좋겠는데 참 아쉽..
It's yet another deckbuilder with really basic cards? And yet, I've played long enough to win like 30 runs? I want to say this is just another copy of the same roguelike everyone else is doing, but that real-time element gives my brain just enough dopamine to make it different from other deckbuilders. The redraw mechanic means you can get stupid combos by constantly replaying your best cards. And like, there's a tanky sheep that gets cheaper when you discard it, so you get to the point where you can send an endless army of sheep walking down the lane, maybe protecting your goat captain in the backrow. And I'd be lying if I said that didn't warm my heart a little.
