Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.78/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

English Version (french below) : It's probably because we played the first 5 FF in a row and it was the last one, but I do remember this game to be somewhat of a drag towards the end and not being amazed by the story or characters, but the job system made its return and it was pretty nice. I'm more into story than gameplay (for FF at least) so this didn't really strike the right cord with me, but let's be honest, it's a Final Fantasy game, so there is no need to worry about quality or the music. Gilgamesh was pretty peak though, I'll gladly admit that.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Got 2/3-3/4 the way through the game and ran into a game glitch. Very disappointing. Can't continue with the game due to this.
This game is incredible, I really enjoyed the story and the job system feels so rewarding when you make powerful combos. Though the absolute highlight of this game is the main party, they're all such great characters with lots of personality. And of course the music is just perfect.
A classic JRPG that holds up by today's standards; it is deeply charming and mechanically rich. Its job system is an improvement over III's, and you can see where modern RPGs that utilize similar systems looked back for inspiration. Final Fantasy V invites you to break it, offering you powerful combinations of abilities and interactions to ovecome any challenge. Always read what items do! From a community standpoint, the FFV Four Job Fiesta always gives me an excuse to come back to this game for both charity and challenge. Buyer beware: as it is a game from a different era, there is missable content and grinding for abilities is encouraged though not expected. There are spoiler-free guides online if you care about this sort of thing. The pixel remaster version offers some additional QoL and slight balance changes from previous iterations of FFV; if you do not care about the slight variations between versions, I recommend this one.
hell ya
Solid edition of FFV that's similar to the original. To be clear, this *isn't* the version with additional classes. Some folks like having the additional classes, others prefer the original experience, take your pick and play one of the best Final Fantasy games in terms of classic JRPG gameplay and builds.

good game and story. Interesting to see the evolution from 1-6
A successor to the FF 3 job system - the gameplay is about as good as it gets from the pixel remasters. Similiar in quality and enjoyability to FF 4, slightly worse story, slightly better gameplay. A lot longer in comparison to the previous games.
