Final Fantasy III (3D Remake)

The worst FF game if not the worst JRPG I've ever played in my life (And I've played FF2) if you want a classic NES/SNES era FF that wasn't made by a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots play FF5 or 6 Lemme list a few cons just to demonstrate what I mean: -Characters ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck even for an old FF game -They penalize you for changing jobs even though there's multiple areas where you're heavily encouraged to do so -Turns are seemingly random for no reason giving you no chance to properly plan for each turn Moral of the story? ♥♥♥♥ this game it isn't even worth $2 and isn't worth the space on your library even if you got it for free.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful game. The game runs like ass and it ear rapes you on launch on top of needing the client open which is terrible. I tried playing Creep by Radiohead on the piano and the game crashed. It fr ran at 15 fps for the most part and transitioning between actions is sluggish and feels rough. The pixel remaster is way better and runs like a charm. Only buy this game if you hate ur self and like to be in the cuck chair :3

I’m a huge fan of the Final Fantasy series. I love all the games, regardless of how old or new they are. However, I wouldn't recommend this one. I believe the Pixel Remaster versions of the older games are much better. The aesthetic, the mechanics, the visuals, and the music all do a better job of capturing that classic gaming feel. While the 3D remake of Final Fantasy III is cool, I don't like it as much as the Pixel Remaster. Honestly, I don't see any real benefit to playing this version over the pixel original.

Do not play. Not only is the DS version better for some reason, this game in general sucks so bad. Play the Pixel remaster version. This is coming from someone who prefers the 3d version of 4. It's soooooooooooooooooooooo boring and slow and ugly. I'm more than halfway through at Saronia and I don't know if I have the strength to go on. I don't like ff3 (better than 2 though) and the pixel remaster was still much more enjoyable than this. All I did was name the characters after this version. I respect the people who like the DS version of this game, I get it, but I just find it so boring and if you never played the original DS version, you probably will too. Don't believe me? Try it.

Of course, I will recommend it it's Final Fantasy after all. 3D remake is good way to play and it's surprising how much they included in just 500 odd MB, Still playing through.

Screen stretching across multiple monitors in borderless, audio is completely muffled, game capped at 30fps but battles feel 15fps. Just play the FF3 pixel remaster instead you're missing nothing with this 3D port.

6/10 - The 3DS style doesn't work too well on PC, and the game feels clunky overall. While I love job systems, this is one of the worst implementations in the series, in my opinion. Also - prepare for one of the worst achievements in history. "Get all jobs to level 99 for all characters". This menas the following: get into an easy battle in the first area, defend 4-6 times (depending on the job), repeat for all four characters, then defeat the enemies and win the battle, gain a job level, repeat until level 99, then repeat for all 22 jobs. I can tell you that this achievement took longer than all other achievements COMBINED. Now, did I really NEED to get that achievement? ... of course I did!

I only recommend this game if you want to play it casually. Something with decent strategy, but also something you can just feel powerful playing and faceroll through the whole game. I DO NOT recommend this game if you want to complete all the achievements. I don't wish it on my worst enemies. I like that the game is fully turn based. It's a good thing to have in a game in case you need to walk away or someone calls you on the phone or whatever. Life happens. I like the job system and how many different classes there are, and that you can make your party into whatever you want. What's bad about this for completionist reasons is that it's such a long ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grind where the reward is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's extremely pointless to level some or all jobs to max level. Maybe if the jobs leveled with just exp, or maybe if the jobs didn't have levels at all. Switching between jobs also gives a penalty which is just the most retarded thing ever (not sure if this was in the original NES version or not, but it's not in the pixel remaster version of the game). Grinding character levels to 99 is more experience points than what's required for a level 99 in runescape, and that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad. Albeit that you can get exp faster in this game than in runescape, but still, it shouldn't be 15 million ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ points to hit character level 99 if that's the BEST way to beat the HARDEST boss in the game (which was only added in this game for no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason). You can complete everything else in the game at level 50 or less. Why the ♥♥♥♥ was there a bonus boss added that requires you to grind for an extra 100 hours? That's just pure evil. Maybe because they were trying to compete with how many hours kids were putting into pokemon games on the DS? That's the best I can come up with, because nothing else makes any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense. This game has missables all over the place in every category which is just absurd, and the way to check your progress on it is horrible. The multiple vehicle system is retarded and annoying, just let me fly everywhere with the invincible. why the ♥♥♥♥ do you get 16 different airships in this game? there's literally no point in that. This game has a very shallow and loose story, but that's based on what was cooking back in the late 80s on the NES. It feels very fake and gay (extra gay this time around) and is pretty unnecessary. I get that it's probably difficult to have a compelling story when it's your average simple premise of "the golden heroes go beat all the bad dudes and save the world yet again." Pure fairy tale stuff. But if that's the case, just leave it to be more simple instead of trying to squeeze emotions and character development where there's no room for it to exist. I wanted to wait until i completely finished the game before writing this review but it's just taking so damn long for no reason and I didn't want to forget everything I wanted to say about the game before I 100%'d it. 4/10 if you're going for all achievements 8/10 if you're just playing the game one time through casually
