Finally a game where you beat the crap out of cats! Old shool beat'em up for your family. Up to 3 players. 3 action button: punch, kick, jump. 3 characters to choose from: ninja gal, ninja dude and minotaur. 3 levels of difficulty: cake, medium, hardcore. 3 screen filters: clean, CRT, smooth bilinear. 16-bit like visuals reminiscent of Neo Geo. Character sprites done in chibi like style similar to Kunio Kun. Foes include: cats, rats, pigs, wolfs, motorcycle dudes, gals with wips, so there's plenty including different bosses. On some occasion foes are torn into bits scattering bones. Also I like this small detail where tiny pad is shown below character's health showing button input. Second stage have some weird music. I was expecting dongos, but instead I got myself into decent fighting spirit. It's one of those games that are worth playing between some bigger titles.
There is a lot of people in here that say that what kills this game is: - Huge difficulty spike - Combos exist, but are not explained anywhere and some of them are super hard to pull off. Nothing really to add there. All true. I reached the final boss, and I'm sure I can beat him eventually. But it's just not worth it. A really cool game ruined by a dev's tragic lack of imagination, along with some questionable ideas on what challenge means. It's sure as ♥♥♥♥ not stacking enemies on top of enemies until you can't see your character on screen.

A Broken, Infuriating Mess for Solo Players Fight ’N Rage starts off looking like a great, fluid modern beat-’em-up, but it rapidly devolves into one of the most poorly designed, unpolished games I have ever played. The devs were so obsessed with "old-school arcade difficulty" that they forgot to actually balance the game or test the mechanics. It is artificially difficult in the cheapest ways possible. The Raft Level is a Literal Joke: Forcing a high-mobility, lightweight character onto a tiny, slippery floating platform where regular enemy attacks cause massive knockback is a masterclass in terrible design. Getting hit locks you into unavoidable instant-death loops into the water, and the collision detection is so broken that character sprites routinely clip right through enemies instead of grabbing them, forcing you to auto-sprint off the edge to your death. Completely Unplayable Visual Clutter: The game crams dozens of bloated, high-HP enemies onto the screen at once. You literally cannot see your own character sprite, turning what should be a skill-based brawler into a blind, chaotic guessing game. Atrocious Parry and Endless Stun-Locks: The parry mechanic is completely unresponsive and desynced from enemy animations. If multiple enemies surround you, there is zero recourse—one will interrupt your attack from behind, locking you into endless hit-stun frames where you lose half your health with zero chance to escape or recover. Zero Polish, All Cheese: To progress on a basic setting like Normal difficulty, you cannot rely on combos or skill. The game forces you to exploit AI pathfinding or cheese invincibility frames just to counter its broken programming. The final gauntlet before the last boss is a perfect example, cramming aggressive, hyper-priority enemies into tight spaces to rob you of earned progress. This game doesn't respect your inputs, your reflexes, or your time. If you plan to play this solo, save your sanity and your money. It is an unmitigated 3/10 that ruins its own decent combat system with hostile, quarter-stealing design.
Any of the genuine charm the game has quickly gets spoiled by how absurdly hard it is even on lower difficulty levels. You'll probably have a good time if you're highly experienced in beatemups, but you'll more than likely ruin your day like I did if you're not.
This made me love beat-em-ups - It's a fair and challenging game with amazing mechanics, okay story, banging music and cool visuals! I haven't beaten the game for first few hours, I took time to practice all those crazy combos for each characters (tho I main my boyo Ricardo), I took time to understand patterns of enemies, and I'm making this review after beating it on Hardest difficulty without using continues, it took time, effort, careful movement, but it's so incredibly satisfying to achieve It's a must have for people who like beat-em-ups, and up to 3 people multiplayer it's just so much fun, recommending all the way!
Good game!
It's a really solid retro-style arcade beat'em up, great music, made with love by an indie, exactly as advertised. Controls are tight, a cool parry system of tapping forward straight from Street Fighter 3rd Strike. Don't let the negative reviews fool you; it is a challenging game meant to be replayed multiple times with branching routes for full completion - so it is NOT for everyone. I do have a few criticisms of the game however - mainly that (1) visual effects can get too intense even after turning settings down, (2) the game is very obtuse at teaching you what you can/should do despite having a practice mode, and (3) Character selection is also limited to 3 main characters - the side characters don't count because their movesets are very incomplete / extremely limited and takes pretty serious grinding to unlock. With that being said, the 3 characters do fill their roles very well - Gal is a very speedy agile fighter, Ricardo the bull is an absolute powerhouse, while F.Norris the ninja isn't merely in the middle; he has the most varied moveset of the 3 allowing for pretty good self-expression through combos. Of the 3, I personally loved Norris best. (RIP Chuck Norris.) I'm also satisfied with the enemy, placement and level design. Enemies are consistent with proper telegraphing, their placement in each stage and their AI is fair, so any mistake/damage taken is your own fault rather than any nonsensical RNG / ganging behaviour. If you love mastering classic beat'em ups, give this a shot, especially whenever it goes on sale!
Buen beat'em up. La puta fase final se la podían meter por el culo
The best modern bmup right now? Provides a solid balance of combo play and aggressive enemies.
