The definition of insanity, and the peak of the Far Cry series❤️

This happens to be my least favorite Far Cry game. I used to play this one a lot, in fact i think i even did 3 or so playtroughs back to back for no other reason other than to i guess try to get into it? Lemme go back a bit, we have Far Cry 1, fantastic game, hard game absolutely like excellent for 2004. Then we have Far Cry 2, lot different but its very heavy on like immersion and never being in a menu and everything being in your hands, it plays around with many mechanics like fire and weapon jamming to make some harsh fighting conditions. Then you got this game that does neither. It is one of most praised games i've seen and i just don't like it. Visually its very green, yippie. Far Cry 2 wasn't much better but it has some cool areas, the second island in this game is like opening a map editor and changing the terrain around, it can be very barren. There is less interesting weapons, like yeah its the game that started a bow trend, like yeah im a stealth hunter its like you have an entire arsenal but the bow has to be this face of the game now, where is my explosive crossbow or the silenced shotgun or that Far Cry 1 rifle that is larger than a human being. The story is there i guess i do not care for Jason or his friends, individually lot of good scenes tied together by absolutely nothing burger of everything else. There is Vaas which HEY its like villain 101 but wait a minute, this guy is like 10 minutes in the game, and he isn't the main villain? Oh no wait the villain is that... Australian, no wait its that Mercenary guy, wait no its that chick that assaults you... Like again this game has some very, like prominent i guess scenes but scene to scene there is nothing. Sure Jackal was very minor, Krieger too, but they were like driving forces so to speak of the stories, hell Krieger got a badass final boss in 1 with you fighting his hard hitting mutant self, like even people liking this game don't talk about Hoyt, and you know what i hate that he has like this very good scene like right before you kill him, how do you make a real villain only a villain for like 1 scene and then he is dead, oh and then the tribes, the tribes. Due to less interesting weapons, less interesting vehicles and a less interesting map and removal of many aspects like jamming and such you get some very poor engagements. Oooh a guy that runs to me with a knife and wipes all my health, at least Trigens looked cool. Oh a heavy enemy that okay its kinda cool, oh but then the sniper that just randomly hits you so its like gotta kill that guy. Sometimes there is a helicopter, that is cool. But it does not stand out, yeah its more flashy and you get more rapid movement over Far Cry 2 and 1 but the chaos in those games and the tools you have. Where is a big ass truck with a machinegun on top, or the armored cars with grenade launchers strapped to them, what about multiple mortar guys smoking me out in a town while people try to gang up on my while i use fire to my advantage to block of large portion, and then taking care that i don't burn myself due to the spread. Here is a cool thing, wingsuit, great, most of the map is flat, you get to use it on like few outposts that are clearly have height differences and 1 mountain, i cannot creatively fly around the map. I have recently played Far Cry 4, a game often criticized for being too similar to this one, but you know what it is just flat out better. Much more interesting map, much more interesting vehicles with like elephants and a gyrocopter so you even get the use out of a wingsuit for more than 2 points. Oh what is that a cool villain that is actually there for the entire game and isn't there for like 5 minutes but its praised like he is the main guy? Wow interesting set of weapons with some very odd stuff like a harpoon gun. Like say what you want about Ubisoft's formula of having very similar game sequels during that period but you get stuff like that and its just fun, like if it wasn't for 5 existing 4 might actually be one of my favorites. Bottom line, row, paragraph. Far Cry 3 ditches what previous games did well or unique, it only adds some things that do not feel as impactful [how often do i use the syringes] and whatever it gets praised for ultimately is like in reality not that good or is rather shallow.

UNPLAYABLE. crashes every 20 min or dear Ubisoft wont let me log in. the actual game when is playable is pretty good
