величайший сюжет, прошел на 100% на одном дыхании, надоели только реликвии, благо нужно для ачивки только 60 (я все равно собрал все 120) и шкала прогресса внутри игры 100%, мне понравилось это полное прохождение

I started the far cry games with 4 when I was just a kid who looked for games with the best graphics back on the xbox. I remember liking the gameplay a lot, doing missions and climbing the radio towers to unlock the map and more weapons and customization. And it made me think, I want to try the next games. So I bought primal when it released. It was fun, but nothing more than that. I was then excited for 5, but I never ended up finishing it. Still haven't as of this review. So now, almost half a decade later since dropping far cry 5, I decide that since I own most of these games own PC now, I want to finish and play them all (With the exception of 6 until a real big sale). So I have played and finished Far cry 1, 2, 4, Primal. And now, 3. Far cry 1 was a very annoying game. It was never bad, per se, It was actually quite fun. But going back to it now, the game is more frustrating and anger inducing due to the sheer difficulty. Not a bad game, but it overstayed its welcome. Far cry 2 was more enjoyable, but still frustrating. Improved gun play and much better story. But aside from its immersive mechanics like the weapons durability, physical map, and interactive map missions, the game wasn't actually that fun to play. Far cry 4 and primal are what you now expect when you hear the words "It's a Ubisoft game." They're not bad, but they don't really change much from their predecessors, and just thrive off an existing formula without trying to bridge the game to create an identity of its own. And that's because of Far Cry 3. When you think Far Cry, chances are you either think of 3, or 5. For me, it's 3. Throughout the third game you can see the genuine thought and emotion put into every chapter, every part of the progression. Side content is encouraged heavily to upgrade yourself, towers don't feel like a chore because they make the map incredibly accessible and are usually always different to the previous tower. And Clearing outposts is just outright fun. But it's the story that truly set the game apart. Unlike its previous installments (And funnilly enough, future ones), Jason Brody as a main character grows, changes, degrades, conflicts, and spirals down and down into the rabbits hole. Vaas is of course the best villain in the game, but I find Hoyt to also be a pretty good villain, so don't let people convince you that he's bad. The issue with Hoyt ends up being the second part (Which honestly is closer to a third of the game rather than a second half) doesn't have much of an impact on Jason the same way the first island did which Vaas had a big part in, so it fails not due to a lack of a good villain, but an overall weaker narrative point. It's not bad, I still think it's miles better than far cry 1 and most of 2, but it's weaker nonetheless. In the end, Far Cry 3 was a blueprint for the future far cry games, with the story of a man spiralling into bloodlust and obsession as a result of his feeling of loss back home. How he is influenced, used, and driven to the brink, and ultimately you choose whether he backs off, or take the plunge. It is the only game in this franchise can be considered a masterpiece, and a testament to the creativity that was much more visible and active in the days of its creation. And it's as a result why the rest of the games suffer. Far Cry, and Ubisoft games have suffered for more than a decade as a result of this game. You can't copy everything a game does and expect it do feel the same when you have no understanding of what made it work, and the soulless safe playing design choices we have continued to see in Ubisoft to this day showcases it. Cod does it, but Cod only thrives due to its reputation and pure enjoyment factor. Even then, it's mostly youth buying the new products, as the games and the franchises continue to fail themselves. Far Cry 3 is a great game, I'd even go so far personally as to consider it a masterpiece due to its unique story, introduction to a game design blueprint which would continue to be used and sold for over a decade with only now new signs of slowing down. It goes on sale often, so when it does, pick it up. It's worth a playthrough. Far Cry 3 is the best game in the franchise, it is what made the franchise stand out, make a name for itself. But unfortunately, and make no mistake, none of the other games ever get close to this game again.
