About
Be the hero in your own cinematic epic of action, tension and terror. A mysterious paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in a Special Forces team only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart. With no other recourse, the elite F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) team is assembled to deal with the extraordinary circumstances. They are given one simple mission: Evaluate the threat and eliminate the intruders at any cost.
Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended – with a bang. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city.
As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities. The multiplayer component for this expansion is no longer available.

Actually competent and enjoyable enemy AI I've ever seen in any fps game
A spooky fps that had my 11 yrold self bricking it. The spooks suddenly disappear for the mid section of the game? But it finds its form before the finale. The story and atmosphere arent only what should be praised, as the combat is intense and still holds up today. 8/10

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

After 20 years this is the best horror FPS game ever! The enemy AI, physics and weapons are very realistic. The slo-mo is actually done right and you can turn it on and off anytime - excellent for surprising enemies when you flank them and moving quickly between them as you shot or frag grenade them to gibs!
I love fear one but fear extraction point is extraordinarily unfair with its combat mechanics 1. they DO NOT prepare you for big fights 2. The rocket launcher guy even has unfair mechanics and they don't give you like anything to help you combat him at all 3. they retconned the ending of the original
Excellent proof of old doesn't mean good. I bought this game because of a YouTube review I watched. Sadly, this game is stellar in many aspect but so dog water in others that I cannot force myself to play this game to finish. First, this game runs at 20 frames after I reload a few times in game. This is not a computer problem because, before I reload, this game can run at 60 frame. Second, the enemy AI is very good, but the enemy is as boring as it can be. I can count on one hand how many enemy types there are in this game, replica, drones, turrets, and gundum. To be fair, replica enemies have many subtypes, but are they really different when they all do the same thing? Don't think so. Also, corporate security forces and replica are the same enemy but with different skin, so, I don't count corporate security as a separate enemy type. Drones are trash, so are turret. They are just there to populate a few sections so that you have things to shoot at. Gundum is alright as a boss encounter. It won't push too hard so you can just peek behind a corner and shoot it till it dies. Or, you can just kite around it instead. The grunt replica soldiers are a bigger trouble than the gundam itself. This game runs way too long for how many enemy types there are. Third, the map is sometimes annoying to figure out where you need to go next. To be fair, the low frame rate makes me dizzy which highly reduces my patience for this game. Fourth, the moronic decision to make this a horror game. Compared to other better horror games, this game is not scary in the slightest. Why would I be scare when I got a SAW machine gun with hundreds of rounds of ammo in my hand, a combat shotgun on my back, and a futuristic particle gun in my backpack? Especially, all horror scenes in this game are cheesy jump scares. No setups, no atmosphere, and no thought put into the horror scene whatsoever. Fifth, the lighting. In the aforementioned YouTube review, he praises the dynamic lighting of this game. After I actually played this game, his praises reminds me of people praising modern AAA simply because of "good graphics." Why should I care about lighting when the game is bad? Better yet, why should I care about the dynamic lighting when majority of this game is pitch ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ black? I can't see ♥♥♥♥ without turning my flashlight on, which goes on cooldown every 10 seconds I use it. So, when I want to explore a dark area, I have to turn my flashlight on, explore a few seconds, turn it off, stand there and wait for a few seconds. What a waste of my time.
I always had this game in my wishlist and I ended up playing the game 21 years after its release. I had no expectations to the graphics of the game. The story was great though. I loved the gameplay as a millenial and managed to complete the game in 16-17 hrs. I would recommend this game to any retro gamer uncs of my age who are tired of multiplayer games like CS2 and Valorant.
Japanese horror meets John Woo combat. One of the best games ever. (For modern systems, I recommend using EchoPatch.)
Fun game, brings me back. To play you will need the EchoPatch, go to the guide section it is where I picked it up. Follow the instructions. You do not launch the game from steam. You go to steam apps, then common and open the game folder. Scroll down to the launcher. Run it from there and the game is playable. Seeing current games and their AI compared to this game and it is sad. Games have really fallen off. But it is worth a play, get it on sale.
Este juego me hace temblar el pilín de lo terrorífico que está.
