Endless Space 2 is what happens when a sequel politely listens to feedback, fixes almost everything, and then confidently asks for even more of your time, which I clearly gave it; it feels richer, smoother, and more self-assured than the original, with factions that stuck in my memory just enough to suggest real personality rather than just different hats on the same empire, and while I can no longer recall exact systems or mechanics without squinting into the void, the sheer amount I played is proof that this was a straight-up upgrade rather than a cynical cash-in, comfortably earning a 9/10 as the rare sequel that actually respects both your intelligence and your free evenings. Still worth to play in 2026, great buy if on sale!
