I like it almost as much as DOOM Eternal, especially with the DLC, which improves it significantly. It's a big shame what happened to the people who worked on this game. The performance is incredibly smooth, the gameplay is different yet familiar, and the DLC is excellent. It's definitely worth playing. I went for 100% completion, and it was incredibly enjoyable. I never felt like I was grinding or anything (other than the two masteries, but those aren't that big of an issue).

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 58.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 59.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I have been playing DOOM since its shareware days and I did enjoy its "Dark Ages" theme. The scenery as with all recent DOOM games is top notch, and even with a lot on screen manages to run very smoothly. The music, one of my favorite aspects of the modern DOOM games is also top notch and keeps you pumped up for the constant action. This experience of course is basically linear and really becomes a run and gun. That said.... I miss creep and horror based DOOM. DOOM 3 for me was amazing. While I love the run and gun, if the dev ever came back with a solid horror based DOOM I would be the first to pre-prder.
Game is an easy 8/10 for its base game on immediate post-launch. With Update 2, max of 8.3. Post DLC however, 9.5/10. Absolutely wonderfully fun game, a perfect lovechild of Dark Ages and Eternal.
Best entry in the series, they really cooked here, absolute masterpiece. Visually insane, the art design and locations are so cool and the gameplay is perfect, the parry feeling with the shield is great and guns feel really nice. Just a banger. Now... The Revelations Expansion >>> Truly one of the best expansions I've ever played. It feels even bigger than the base game: more intense, lots of different combat encounters, and massive replayability. The spear is absolutely insane, because if you were already a godlike tank in the base game, now you're a godlike tank with wings and cocain3. It's so much fun. The fights in this expansion were also some of the only ones that genuinely had me on edge because of their intensity and difficulty, which made the game even more fun and challenging. Definitely a 10/10 expansion. They absolutely cooked here. I still say it, even more than before: Best DOOM EVER.
Love this game series, but most importantly I love you id Software forever <3
