They took Serrat from me
Revelations update is absolutely amazing. It surpasses the main game in my opinion, and that itself is a feat to accompish. Please support ID software. I bought PC and PS5 versions to support this developer. PS5 version is collectors. I've been a huge fan since 90ties, although I'm already 44 years old, DOOM is always at the top of my playlist.
Very good
Dark Ages felt little bit slow compared to Eternal. But wow the DLC made it perfect. So much action and flexibility. Be able to swap between the shield and Javelin feels awesome. Really good DLC. overall i bought premium edeition and have to say i am happy with it now as i was with eternal.
getting this on sale to replay on pc, this game still goes so damn hard ONLY when on sale and when it does do yourself a favor when the prices drop (heard the dlc was peak so im looking forward to it after fully completing all campaign collectables)
爽,这个游戏很解压
This game is a mess. Dark ages is definitely the least fun or polished of the 3 modern Dooms, but they were trying something new and the shield mechanic, though the lest intuitive, did work - so I get that. This DLC feels like a different group of devs have picked it up (the b team possibly, while the A team focus on the new one) and they are trying to make an Enternal on the dry bones of Dark Ages. The spear is for a completely different game. Dark Ages is built around blocking incoming projectiles.. you're still doing that, but with a spear rather than a shield.. held in your left hand.. feels like absolute garbarge. on top of that, everything is heat seeking, which made some sense in standard Dark Ages, every though it was irritating as ♥♥♥♥. now everything is bending around corners to hit you, and you're trying to swing at everything with a stick.. feels extremely clunky and ill thought out. just b team materials, rushed out. completely different level that Eternal. please just move on from this series, its cooked.
I like the game. Not much more to say than that. I do appreciate how each game in the modern DOOM trilogy plays differently. DOOM 2016 is run-and-gun. DOOM: Eternal is far more fast-paced and vertical. DOOM: The Dark Ages is tanky and deliberate. My only qualm about the game (and I am sure I am in the minority) is that I don't care for Revelations. It's not a bad DLC and it has an interesting story; my issue is that it brings DOOM:TDA to more of an Eternal style-of-play, and I wish the developers had a bit more confidence in their parry-and-punish gameplay to expand on that instead of bringing the spear into this game.
