Yes, it's super cheap, but I did not have fun. The core gameplay loop felt like a chore, the pacing of the upgrade values was way off, and it's weird idle vs active balance is just... weird. Needs enemies or some sort of threat, or some sort of thing that scales actually.
Fun little game that takes like around 2 hours to 100%. I seriously don't understand all the negative reviews that this game has gotten recently. The games only 99 cents, it's not asking you to take out a 2nd mortgage on your house to buy it. Like it's pretty gosh darn good for the developers 1st ever release on steam, what more could you expect from it. The game equivelent of the Mona Lisa??? Smh...

Finished the game in about 2 to 3 hours. Unfortunately, I can’t say I had much fun with it. The pacing feels off, and like others have mentioned, it eventually starts to feel more like a chore than a game. I mainly wanted to finish it for the achievement, but by the end I had YouTube videos playing on my second monitor just to get through it. The final stretch was a real slog. The biggest issue for me is that the game seems confused about its own identity. It wants to be an idle game with upgrades and incremental progression, but it also forces you into active gameplay through a ship asteroid-shooter segment that just isn’t very fun. I wouldn’t recommend it, even at a low price. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t worth the time.
What a poorly designed incremental
Semi-idle space game. Harvest (shoot) some asteroids. Use those resources to generate attribute points per minute as well as other asteroids that let you generate even more attribute points and generate them faster. You can also just generate the attribute points by leaving the game on for a while (as long as you put in a few points into generating resources). There is no offline progress You automatically get 100% when you finish the game, which took me about 5-6 hours to do but I could have taken waaaay less if I played more actively. Overall, the game is a lot of fun for only a few bucks of cash.
I really enjoyed my time with this little game. I think the biggest strengths of the game are in what it doesnt have. It doesn't have acheivements other than starting and finishing the game. It doesn't have a fail state, or a health bar. It doesn't have any active abilities. It doesn't have a plot hook, it doesn't tell you who you are, why you are here, or why you must gather these materials. In fact the game never explicitly tells you to do anything. It has functional and aesthetically pleasing graphics but they are never more flashy than they need to be. And in that you get a really chill experience. Listening to a great lofi soundtrack while floating through a digital space environment. At first I was worried crashing into the meteors might hurt me, but it doesn't. I was worried about gathering enough materials to get an upgrade but you can always go back for more. I was worried about spending my talent tree points wrong but you know whatever ability you want is never that far out of reach, either wait for a few more of your collectors to fill or just run it again and return to more tree points passively generated. At some point you stop playing the game and start watching yourself play the game. The mechanics are simple enough that throughout the 2 hour experience it becomes second nature. You start to realise little things about the game, like how this world is now one of your making. You didn't need to buy those upgrades or unlock that new generator. But you did and now your world is changed because of it. There is no going back on that. New guns permanently fixed to your ship, new projectiles, new rocks to blast. The only way to truly resolve your incursion on this world is to finish what you started. You must finish the game or bear the burden of a task incomplete.
Mostly filler upgrades, but the power curve feels satisfying. Dirt cheap, for what its worth-pretty good. Can be done in under 2 hours, gl lol
The game starts alright at first but after a while the cost of upgrades scales way too high, to the point where its better to idle than actually play the game.
Deep Space Cache, a game where you have to destroy rocks for currency and get more and more powerful before the timer runs out, the game loop is decent but you can't really get bored of it since the game is so short. I would definitely recommend to any incremental fan because its really short and easy to complete.
