Cybermotion is yet another one of those ragdoll physics "it's hard to move, that's the game, haha" amateur projects common on the lower end of Steam, although this one is remarkable for a number of reasons, and none of them good. I'm not really sure if Cybermotion is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. The overall technical quality is extremely poor, this is clearly an amateur project and in my opinion unsuitable for the prime time of Steam... it's unlikely this would do well on Itch or Newgrounds either due to the poor quality issues. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The game never really caught on with the millions of gamers on Steam, with a very low peak player count close to launch, and then just a handful of players launching this game every couple of days. This is undoubtedly caused by factors such as those raised in this review. It's always helpful with buying decisions to consider how popular and successful the product is, and unfortunately while this did accumulate a few participation trophy reviews, overall, people just aren't using it. The game has been in Early Access since 2017 and while it's still getting token updates, it's deep in Development Hell. There's no reasonable expectation that this will ever be completed. Whether the developer lacks the time, funds, or skill/talent required to complete a video game isn't really something gamers should be expected to accept as an excuse. This is compounded by the serious problem that the developer made a commitment to deliver the completed game in 2018, a whopping 6 years ago, and not only failed to deliver, but also failed to return any of the funds taken from gamers under apparently misleading pretenses. Unethically, the developer sold keys to this unfinished Early Access game into cheap, nasty game bundles, where they knew it would be advertised and sold as a complete PC game, despite not being one. This seems to have been done in an attempt to mislead gamers into buying a knowingly faulty, defective and incomplete product. This is essentially a scam, an intention to get paid for a broken/unfinished product. Often this is done as an exit strategy, as the developer takes the money and runs. No refunds have been given, the developer kept all the money they took from gamers. Another unethical act of this developer, knowing full well that this game is unfinished and they may complete it, they are deliberately trying to scam gamers into buying it by offering it on discount and selling keys to the game from third party key resellers, where again they know it is advertised and sold as a complete product. It's impossible to "accidentally" discount a game. The developer looked at their unfinished game, and instead of doing the right thing and removing it from Steam, they instead doubled-down and tried to scam even more people into paying for it. Greedy, and completely unethical. Doing the wrong thing, on purpose, for money. This is not okay. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Cybermotion has the laughable price of around $8 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical actions of the developer. For comparison, the $8 asking price for this game could get you games like "Torchlight 2", "Battlefield V" or "Mass Effect". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
The game has a predetermined resolution, buggy menus, and no rebinding. The movement feels bad when you are holding an item and I wish it would go back to the 2D version. Do not recommend.
beep boop robot.
fun
Walk walk.
Крутая игра, но честно говоря было бы лучше если игра оставалась в 2Д стиле. В 3Д версии всё кажется мыльным и не чётким + кнопки и шрифты выглядят очень странно.
i honestly love this game. After 100% the 2D version and completing the new-ish 3D version, i can definitely say as a player this game is great for at minimum 20h of fun. However, I do have to say from the development side of things, I prefer the 2D version as compared to the 3D. Not only did it feel like it had more of a charm to it, the physics of the new one kinda feels more janky (but that could be because im use to the old one) and it does feel like a real shame for the 2D version to not be the main focus anymore. moreover with it now being an Unreal4 Game, it now looks and somewhat feels like another one of those low quality throw together games, even though i know the Devs (Dev singular?) does have a passion for this game. I would love to see a return to the 2D engine, but understanding that might not be possible, at least trying to change something to really help give this game its own personality again. *also i love the fact i can backflip anytime i want, 8/10
Забавная головоломка на принципах QWOP, только на стероидах У робота реально много степеней свободы, трек в меню качает, есть прокачка
i love cybering my motion
Abandoned by the devs and the 3d update runs like ass but I see no other game like it
