Deadlock который мы заслужили от валв
The Devs have abandoned the game. Last update was over a year ago at this point; don't purchase.
Pretty much the same wave shooter you've already played. If you are into them, go for it.. Points for sound, and the absence of clunky reload mechanics. Points for Tron style environment.
It took me a couple restarts to get it working. The game seems like a Space Pirate trainer clone, certainly because it shares the gameplay as well as some of the UI. But it plays worse in almost every way. The enemies take a lot more hits and do nothing more than run forward, stop and shoot. And their animation quality is also sub par. The guns overheat way too fast, making you unable to shoot for a short while. Which is stupid, if the only mechanic in the game is shooting. There are only 4 weapons: A pistol where you have to keep triggering to shoot A pistol where you have to keep triggering to shoot but sometimes is unable to shoot A plasma rifle that overheats before you kill 1 strong enemy And a laser that takes a while to charge The shield is pretty big, which is great. And it gives you the option to switch from picking it behind your back to pressing the grip buttons. But this didn't work for me, so I sticked to picking it from my back. Space Pirate trainer is much more polished than this one. So if you can spare the 10€ extra, you should.
Updated ea review: This game has been abandoned by the developer. The game as it stands is a bug free working title, but just don't support developers who take your money and run. Just avoid. Old ea review: This game is great in short stints, just like all the other wave based games. You drop in, play a few levels, die at the same level each time. Rinse and repeat and get a little bit further then die. For the price it's great value, the gameplay is polished, the animations and fx are exellent. Nothing not to like; possibly the difficulty getting too hard to quick, maybe. That seems to same with all wave shooters, short levels that get incredibly hard quickly. I imagine having a larger room to dodge around would help alot. It would be great if the odd powerup turned your gun into something like an overpowered grenade or rocket launcher for a short spell. Like other VR wave shooters currently around, the same enemy are repeated level after level. More enemy types, and end of level bosses would make this awesome.
Best VR game I've played to date. Simple mechanics. Waves of enemies rushing your position. Just you and two guns. Simple as it is, this is the one I pop into, stand there with two giant space-glocks dangling at my sides and feel like a badass. The thumping dark-synth music track helps a lot with that! I get in there and play for twenty minutes (or thirty; or forty; JUST FIVE MORE!) and walk away satisfied and maybe a little sweaty. Playing on Normal difficulty routinely finds me crouched on the floor, both shields deployed in a shell around my body, waiting for a pistol to cool down or an enemy to break formation. And there's just nothing more immersive than being cornered like that. The guns have four modes. A single shot revolver will one-hit the weaker mobs, but there's a full second's reload time. The energy repeater takes down drones quick with fully automatic fire, but overheats fast and you've got to lead your shots. The sniper blast will one-hit pretty much anything, but takes several seconds holding the trigger to charge a shot. And then there's the best of them: Simple semi-automatic pistols. Dual-wield them and spray bullets in alternating trigger pulls directly at the heads of the enemy. (always at the heads. always at the heads.) I've played to level 24 on Easy mode before getting overwhelmed. But normal difficulty rarely sees me past 12. The dogs man, the dogs. The game slows the more there is on screen - I'm guessing to preserve the framerate for head tracking - and it works perfectly with the gameplay. The more enemies and shots flying, the more slow-mo, Neo, bullet-time you get to try to deal with it all. An you will be overwhelmed. This is a VR roomscale arcade shooter that does what it does brilliantly. And as amazed I've been at other titles, for their depth, or scale, or picturesque rendering -- this is the best VR game in my catalog right now. And I will continue coming back to it to claim another twenty minutes as an action hero, for a long, long time. Highly recommend.
this game is damn hyphy i like it good price cool tron style graphics totally needs global and friend leaderboards and it will be a regular crack off but without those im afraid people might not play it as much other than that its a killer start man
I lightly recommend this with the caveat that it's a pretty standard stationary/roomscale shooter, that you should only buy it at 85-90% off, and that it'll probably never leave Early Access. That said, it feels complete, the basics are solid, there's good audio, the visuals are pleasing, and the core gameplay is fun. You probably aren't gonna get a lot of solo play out of this but it's a good game to have installed when friends/guests want a quick n dirty VR experience. Straightforward arcade experience worth a buck.
Frantic but fun gameplay, slick and stylish graphics, several guns and a lot more things to shoot with them! All the weapons play very well and throwing the shield into the mix gives you several ways to handle the droves of foes thrown at you and the increasingly varied enemies help keep things interesting as your score gets higher and higher. Considering that it's still early access, Deadlock has serious potential in it's already great core-gameplay.
Skunkape Interactive abandoned it unfinished, after taking our money. NEVER support early access games with your hard earned money! However, it's a nice demo with big potential.
