Synth Riders is one of the most important games of my life, with a personal story attached to it that I'd like to share. It's my absolute number-one go-to for VR rhythm and VR workout games. I’ve struggled with my weight for most of my life, ever since high school. It was only when I reached adulthood and life started to stabilize that I decided to treat myself to a fancy Quest 2. Around that time, I realized I seriously needed to lose weight. Going out was hard, and with COVID lockdowns still a reality at the time, I thought... why not work out in VR? I wondered if people actually did that, and if it would really work? Regardless, in my mind, with enough intensity, it should work, so I gave it a try. I tried Beat Saber, but as much as I wanted to like it, it just didn't click. I tried a few others that didn't stick either. FitXR was great, but it's a subscription-based boxing drill. It built my endurance and left me gasping for air, but I wanted something that made my whole body move. Enter Synth Riders. I fell in love with the game from the very first song I played: 'Tonight' by Sunset Neon. Playing became my daily ritual, same time every day, sometimes even twice a day. At first, 20 minutes was my max, and the best I could do was Normal difficulty, leaving me out of breath every time. I remember thinking there was no way I could ever pass Hard difficulty. As the weight dropped through healthy eating and my VR workouts, I raised my daily playtime little by little. I pushed harder and lasted longer.. 30 minutes, 40, until I settled on a minimum of around 50 minutes daily. I moved from Normal to Hard, then Expert, and eventually, it became 'Master difficulty or nothing.' Even when my headset bricked, I bought another one just to keep playing. I installed custom songs, bought some DLC, and found myself with a stupid grin on my face every time I started a session. My heart would feel full and beat with genuine happiness with every move. It sounds corny as ♥♥♥♥, but it’s the truth. Later, when I no longer had my gaming laptop or desktop due to life, I bought the game again on the Meta store just to keep the streak alive. Even after, when my body was in good enough shape to go for jogs and runs daily, I still return to this game at times. And every single time I did, I'd still smile, and my heart beats with that same happiness. I went from 94KG, down to 67KG during my time with this game both on Steam and on Meta, before I went for jogs and runs. It’s ridiculous how much I love this game, and how much I owe it for shaping my life for the better.

Every market we collect.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a fantastic game and I can say that its a weapon what you can use against overweight! Through the winter I gained circa +10kg what I want to get rid off. When I play, I don't realize that like a cardio training, but it is and if you want go more intense ... put fitness wristbands on. I bought 1,5kg wristbands filled with sand ... game changer! I recommend the game for everyone who likes music, dancing, moving ... its a fun way to burn calories and be or stay fit!
i have only 69 hours here but thousands on standalone. i hope this will run on the steam frame!
Big fan on synthwave, but there's other genres on there too. Fun VR game. More equal distribution on the movement of your body than in BeatSaber which is arms only unless you download specific (very hard for the average casual player) fitness maps. And even then. The game design here really allows for much more "dancing" and rhythm moving to occur. That being said. a FRACTION of the content BS has, and if im being honest not all the picks are even winners. Buy it on sale, definitely. But do buy it, if you want another reliable rhythm vr game to workout to.
The most addicting cardio ever. I find myself exhausted, negotiating "just one more song" for around half an hour (or maybe more) every time I pick this up. This game is single-handedly pulling me out of my sedentary lifestyle Better than Beat Saber, it actually FEELS dancy, and as someone with a dance background, there is a special satisfaction in discovering the full-body movements that the head and hand tracking is tricking you into. A friend talked me into trying it by describing it as feeling like you're "a wizard casting spells," and one taste had me hooked. I sought my own VR system exclusively for this! Do yourself a favor and try it, SERIOUSLY
This game gets me into such a flow state. Good music, good vibes, great cardio.
Had this on Quest 1 back in 2019/2020 and lost a bunch of weight playing it in lockdown. Still a great workout, tons of fun. Some of the DLC isn't my kind of thing, but that's okay; it can't all be. I'm just glad they're still adding content.
it's a lot like beatsaber with a twist and some cool visuals it's a bit less polished than beatsaber but it executes it wel The graphics are pretty low def (meta ruins everything) but it fits the artistic style, feels like a retro arcade game in the VR, pulls that off well. very nice visuals the dlc looks cool but personally i don't like micro-transactions.
What can I even say about Synth Riders! I adore rhythm games of all kinds. I own high end controllers, I even have a custom SDVX Valkyrie cabinet setup. This game is a big part of my rotation and I love it. The custom song support, and the quality of the DLC songs, is out of this world good. This is deserving of maximum praise. I don't even think I've written another Steam review before now and I've been on here for like a decade. The DLC is also worth it because the notes are made with care and have all the difficulties, unlike a lot of custom stuff (though the custom stuff is amazing often times as well). Honestly, very few notes
