I don't hate it at least.
first game I played that felt like going to work
Despite what people say about this being the weakest link in the Fromsoftware franchise, I think that Dark Souls II is a masterpiece. The almost 60 hours I have spent in the past month or two playing this game have been amazing. This game has an amazing world that is magical and unique, as well as cool features and story woven into it. I think the NPC interactions are all really good as well, more so than most games. There is also more content than what meets the eye, as there are many secret bosses that are hard to find but well worth it to research how to find after beating the main game and DLC. Both 2 endings to this game are quite cool, primarily the more secretive second ending, which has an extra boss at the end which makes it up for the lackluster final boss for the main ending. There are countless weapons, spells, hexes, and pyromancies and many builds to try. The game is very generous with the amount of souls given from bosses leaving me with hundreds of thousands I did not spend because I wanted a challenge. This eliminates the complaint that people often have about the ADP stat which helps with i-frames, because you should have more than enough souls coming your way that it makes no difference and leaves it as a cool feature. There was probably only 1-2 attacks that have bad hit boxes, which I was expecting more from what I had heard. I also think this game has very memorable music and is truly special. This game even has 3 DLC to do, they are quite difficult but overall are very well made (excluding one hidden area with a duo boss that almost made me quit). I think some of my favorite bosses in gaming are from the second DLC and were very fun to fight. Here are some honest ratings I will give aspects of the game Creativity - (10/10) Music - (9/10) Graphics - (10/10) Level Design - (10/10) Bosses - (6/10) Build Variety - (9/10) NPC Interactions - (10/10) Jolly Cooperation - (7/10) Overall Score (10/10) Overall this game has left a lasting impact on me and will forever be one of my favorite games.
