Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 8.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Cultist Simulator is a game of apocalypse and yearning from Alexis Kennedy, creator of Fallen London and Sunless Sea. Play as a seeker after unholy mysteries, in a 1920s-themed setting of hidden gods and secret histories. Perhaps you're looking for knowledge, or power, or beauty, or revenge. Perhaps you just want the colours beneath the skin of the world.
In this roguelike narrative card game, what you find may transform you forever. Every choice you make, from moment to moment, doesn't just advance the narrative - it also shapes it.
Become a scholar of the unseen arts. Search your dreams for sanity-twisting rituals. Craft tools and summon spirits. Indoctrinate innocents. Seize your place as the herald of a new age.

In this 20-40 hour game, you'll:
Combine cards to tell your own story in a rich, Lovecraftian world of ambition, appetite and abomination. Corrupt your friends. Consume your enemies. There is never only one history.
Found a cult, dedicated to the Red Grail, or the Witch-and-Sister, or the Forge of Days. Recruit Believers and promote them to Disciples to serve as burglars, researchers, cat's-paws. Use your disciples to keep you fed - or feed on your disciples.
Unravel arcane, unacknowledged mysteries. Translate grimoires and glean their lore. Locate and pillage the Star Shattered Fane. Penetrate the realm of the Hours, and win a place in their service. Perhaps - if you are very cunning - you may even glimpse the Mansus.
Outwit rivals, investigators and the increasingly suspicious Authorities. Your own altered Appetites may force you to act abominably, but your Cause must not be stopped.
Transcend death with a story-driven legacy system. Perhaps your inheritors will complete the Rite of the Crucible Soul. Perhaps they'll find peace in a pleasing career. Perhaps they'll bring the Dawn.

Reviews
It's fun, and extremely well-written. The game sets a strong tone, and plays with it very well. I'll say it's not for everyone, but for those who are hit by it, are hit hard.
I can go endlessly about how I love this game. The start is strange and foggy and I died a lot. Lessons: don't starve, get your psycho Ok, watch out for too many evidence. In the middle I went hard into guides and really grasped a couple of really slippery things (maybe a little more text on the cards would've helped). Yeah, midgame could feel grindy, but man I love the tempo. I can watch something alongside with the game or just zone out with the in-game music and ambience. I get fascinated (with a couple of Fascination prepared for the Study) with a new expedition going on or a Latin teacher I can learn from - and suddenly two hours went by. That calming pace in the mid game, where I learn aspects one by one, get 3-4 Health, Passion, and Reason, learn languages and pick a new place for the Cult, so no Detective could ever pick any Notoriety - I just love it. And then all I have to do is not to ♥♥♥♥ this all up and prepare for the end game Ritual well. In my childhood I red many books on numerology, occult and spirituality (yeah, that kind of childhood heh) and having this game now brings the same level of excitement and, well, joy, as this here occult themes and details are so incredibly aligned and stylish. These are not just cards with texts to me - they're situations, places, people, images and stories.

enjoyable
To be fair this game has its lows and slows but I think the good moments outnumber them. Definitely not for everyone but if you enjoy stumbling into hardcore puzzlers with no tutorial whatsoever that you gradually conquer and bend the mechanics of then Cultist Sim is a safe choice.
A joyless dirge in which you have almost zero agency over the random events that derail any seemingly any approach. You may as well sit around flipping a coin for fun, since that's really all the gameplay amounts to. Everything about Cultist Simulator is compelling, clever, intriguing, beautiful - they just forgot about the actual gameplay. Long, long ago I'd beaten this game - more than once. Then after one fateful update, I've been unable to get through the even earliest parts of the game: being bombarded with Dread, Injuries, Afflictions, Fascination, then eventual starvation whilst Exploration, Talking and Book buying produces entirely useless and irrelevant drops. If the makers of the game had the capabilities to make each playthrough ACTUALLY possible, rather than relying on chance - this might be worth playing. Currently, there's such low odds of getting anywhere it's made it a joyless waste of time. Sit around a flip a coin instead - far more rewarding.
新手教程看不下去,然后自己摸索着打,想飞升被抓,我恨你警探
I got the demo first, but then thought it wasn't for me. However, I kinda kept thinking about the game and eventually got it anyway on sale. After spending a few more hours, I realize, I should have gotten with my initial feeling. It's just super boring, you keep waiting for stuff to happen and otherwise most of the stuff you should do is not very clear. I get that finding out what to do is part of the game, but after spending 18 hours alreday I just don't have any drive to do it. Everything is very repetitive and slow and I have no incentive to go back to the game again.
тяжело разобратся легко играть
