I was jonesing for a 360/PS3 era game and a replay of Darksiders scratched that itch. No skill trees, no endless loot drops to manage, no bloat... Just a lean action game you can finish in 15 ish hours. The dungeons hold up pretty well too. It's kinda hard to put down once you're in the thick of it. The combat is kinda basic and there's a shooter section that drags a bit, but hey it wouldn't be the 360 era without one of those. Now I kinda want to revisit II and play III and Genesis for the first time as well.
Good and fun game. Excellent remaster. Received huge technical updates in 2026 to increase performance, fix some issues (FPS-dependent camera for example) and adding SSAO, which is all amazing. Developer KAIKO is showing again that they know their audience. Hope that the new 2026 version can have its shader-compilation stutter issue fixed. While I know that that is a really complicated issue to solve, it would really make this new updated version the ultimate way of playing the game.
Darksiders Warmastered Edition was an absolute blast from start to finish. The gameplay is awesome, with satisfying combat, fun puzzles, and a great mix of exploration and platforming. Every fight feels impactful, and unlocking new abilities keeps things fresh throughout the game. War is easily one of the coolest protagonists in gaming. He's basically an unkillable badass who never backs down, and playing as him is incredibly satisfying. His design, voice, and attitude fit the apocalyptic setting perfectly. The story kept me interested, and the world has a unique mix of fantasy, demons, angels, and mythology that stands out even today. Despite being an older game, the Warmastered Edition still looks good and plays smoothly. If you enjoy action-adventure games with hack-and-slash combat and memorable characters, I highly recommend giving this one a try, just make sure you play this BEFORE Darksiders 2

This game takes me back to a simpler time in gaming. Old school fun romp of days gone by. Can't recommend it enough.
the real PEAKSIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The presentation, acting, environment and character designs are all top notch and speak to a fantastic level of production. I really liked the dungeon exploration and puzzles. People say it's zelda-like, but I never played a zelda game before, so I can only speak to how well it works here: very. I just wish they had the foresight to not let you backtrack into spaces where there's nothing left to do, and even if there are collectibles about, you can only find most of them with new tools you find throughout the game. While the world is large and interconnected, your path through it is relatively linear, so I don't know why the couldn't just block these paths temporarily, or give you a one time warning like: "You journey leads elsewhere. You'll find little reward returning here at this time." Ignoring this, the game's only real blemish is the stilted combat. Just not enough moves or combat options. Even the ones you have can be finicky to perform in a practical way, but most weapons only perform a handful of combos, and a lot of enemies will literally wait their turn for you to hit them. Mid-sized guys are a little more ferocious, but the combat in general felt underwhelming after a while, and I don't think a harder difficulty alone would help my opinion of that. The weapons feel nice though, the finishers too, and the boss designs are super memorable. It's just the overall feel is a bit dull and too straightforward. It's still a good time, plus the world and characters really carry your interest through the game.
Если бы не головоломки ближе к концу игры и нормально знакомили со всеми механиками, мб и рекомендовал. Игра душная. Респект за ру озвучку
great underrated game
