About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

Was meine ich damit?
7/10 While I recommend this game, especially for Dead Space fans, but just take note, in my opinion this game is quite like The Callisto Protocol, good but NOT good enough. -Storyline this one is more mysterys, but I feel TCP storyline is overall better written. , also known actor voice acting is helpful. -It very much feel like Dead Space, especially its atmosphere. Creepy from time to time. The mystery in its storyline also help alot. In that area, Cronos can give DS a run for its money. - BUT combat. oh, the combat. Now, TCP's combat is very bad and too repetitive. Compere to TCP, Cronos is way better, but unfortunately not good enough. Dead Space combat is perfect balanced compere to Cronos. -There is two Main issues in Cronos combat. 1.Gimmick system, like Charging gun do more dmg, flamethrower so that enemy on fire take more dmg. -Both are ok, but really not that special. As I said, gimmick, so the combat will be "unique", specially to DS. 2. Main issue come is how by "not giving resource so game will feel difficult"!!! While game like Dead Space and Resident evil type of game always had this type resource management with inventory management as key part of the game. The problems in this game, is that this system here implemented very poorly, Unlike DS and RE, where enemy always drop something, no matter how little, it feel you "got something", and you dont need go reload the game because several bad shots. BUT in Cronos, for some odd reason, dev think, its more "fun" to not have that feature. So enemy enemy that take 2-3 HS to take down to rarely drop anything, if they drop items, it usually a little bit of "money". Now you do give "money/energy" and "build material" to build or buy supply, BUT you upgrade depend on your "money", build materials while not that rare, dont produce that much ammo. This is specially annoying, because Cronos have save point and autosave points(rare), and you can walk in to area which is like DS, go "lockdown mode" so you have to kill all enemy to leave. But if you dont know that are is coming, you have limited inventory space, you might not have enough ammo to fight it, which happen to me quite few time. Here also you will notice that "on fire cause enemy to take more dmg", which is actually not bad idea, but to make those flamethrower, you need resources(same ones that make ammo) or find drop point, which are ofc rare and far from any combat area, and you can carry one 1(but can build 2). All these plus very limit inventory space, the whole thing feel very artificially "hard mode", I will ok, had they made at least the enemy drop little bit of "money" every time, it dont feel like waste of bullet(as unlike some of other game), you cant really run pass alot of enemies in this game. Also I especially find that "resources box" in the game, can also drop nothing. Which is just like middle finger from the dev. I cant believe I would said, At least the Calliston Protocal had working melee, its lack of resources actually does work, because you can bash you way though the game. Here, you cant.
8/10
If you like Dead Space then this will do it for you.
Some kind of mix between SOMA and Dead Space, set in late soviet Poland, the game just keeps getting better the longer you play it, regularly surprising with something new. If you set your expectations somewhere between those two games and don't fear the unforgiving inventory management, it is absolutely worth playing. Edit: having played longer, it is likely taking after Silent Hill and Resident Evil, and I'd perhaps even call it a must play for the fans of all the mentioned titles. Runs beautifully even on Linux and on older hardware, but does require somewhere around the stated minimum of 16GB of RAM (at 8GB it runs but not very long).
solid 8/10. wears the bones of dead space well. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
