About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

Animal Crossing :(

The gameplay was very good; the only issues I had were with the bosses. They seemed a little too boring. All of the bosses (maybe except the last one) used the same mechanics, so there was really nothing special here. The game is around 15 hours long, but I marked it as "long" because, in my opinion, after Act 3 the pacing starts to slow down, whereas it should be picking up as it moves toward the climax. If they made the last locations a little smaller and maybe removed a couple of boss fights (which, as I mentioned, are not very cinematic), it would make the game better. The other problems were related to optimization. I had a stable 30 FPS with only small drops in a couple of moments. However, keeping in mind everything I wrote above, this game is almost a masterpiece of the survival horror genre. The music and audio are excellent, and combined with the outstanding graphics and visual effects, they created one of the most immersive gaming experiences I've had in years. The game's economy is also top-notch—you always seem to have exactly the amount of ammo you need. There were a couple of moments when, after a gauntlet or boss fight, I had zero or almost zero ammo, but I never had an issue where I ran out of ammo completely. Crafting is simple, but it was enough for me to focus on the gameplay rather than crafting recipes. Last but not least, exploration. Finally, someone made a game where exploration is actually fun because it's genuinely rewarding. You want to find more loot because, in this type of game, resources are scarce. Exploring additional rooms and searching for the items you need to survive was really entertaining. I would say that this game is definitely worth the money they're asking for, and if you're looking for a really good survival horror game, this is the one.
Amazing atmosphere and setting, combat is a bit clunky but very brutal once you get the hang of it.
Overall a solid game. You can really feel the Dead Space, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil influences in the tension, weaponry, and enemies. I consider Dead Space 1 and 2 to be the pinnacle of the futuristic survival horror genre and would rate those games around a 9.5 out of 10. This game I would give about an 8 out of 10. Combat - Fairly monotonous, where you shoot the head of the space zombie and they die after enough damage. Compare that with a game like Dead Space where you could slow enemies down with stasis, remove their limbs, use telekinesis to fire them as projectiles, etc. Nothing groundbreaking about the combat or the weapons. It's also a bit of a drag to feel like you need to charge up a shot for almost every weapon. Inventory - Horrible, terrible, no good, very bad decision to limit inventory to such a small number of slots. They can be upgraded over time, but even then you won't want to have more than 2 maybe 3 weapons on you at a time because you can't even hold the ammo for those weapons, plus the key items you find. If you run out of space, it feels bad but you end up having to delete certain things that you picked up along the way. My advice: Don't make the inventory a mechanic in the game. Managing inventory isn't something that anyone is excited to do, it's just annoying. Weapons - There's a good few weapons and they are all viable, other than the weapons that tend to burn through ammo like the dagger. Ammo is scarce at higher difficulties but is quite manageable, no real complaints since it is a survival horror. I would prefer that weapons aren't about charging up your shot, it slows down gameplay and just feels clunky, especially when you halfway charge, then release it to stop shooting, but shoot a regular shot instead, can't tell you how many times I've done that. Difficulty - I've beaten the game on Easy, Normal, and Hard with all achievements. And when I played hard, I had to check a few times to make sure I didn't accidentally lower the difficulty in some way because I could not tell the difference between normal and hard. Enemies seemed to have the same or just slightly more health, and I couldn't tell if I took more damage or not, though I assume I did. I completed hard with no deaths without specifically trying to do so. Character - The character you are playing as is difficult to discern emotions from, and never shows fear over the terrifying creatures attacking left and right. It makes it so that it feels like you're just controlling an emotionless robot that isn't fighting for their life like you would see in any other horror genre. Overall - Enjoyed the first playthrough, had fun in the second, and tolerated the third. Doesn't have much replayability (unless you are going for all achievements, in which case you need to replay it at least 3 times) as you don't unlock things like the foam finger from Dead Space or Infinite ammo in RE games. I doubt I'll pick it up again but I'm sure I'll enjoy the DLC once it releases.
What's not to like? It's as if RE and Dead Space had a baby. Hard AF though. This game defo puts the survival in horror survival.
This is all I was looking for in this moment : _ a linear game with a good story and a few secret zones or alternative paths in the spirit of The Last of Us _ being scared but not to the point of pooping myself like I did many times exploring the USG Ishimura _ a well balanced difficulty that allows me to slowly progress through the story without being stuck somewhere _ pretty good gunfights and feelings _stunning graphics and musics that serves immersion and ambiance
I would not recommend to buy this game on mac, this should not have been release in such a state. Even on macbook pro m5 pro the performance is just garbage and you can hardly play. Unfortunately, the game was activated by key and I cannot refund it, otherwise I would've done it
Starts a bit slow, but picks up! Inventory system is outdated by todays standards, honestly spent far too long managing it/resources. Gun play has weight and feels good, story is awesome!
