About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

Incredible game for fans of the Dead Space and Silent Hill series. The sound design gives off strong Stranger Things vibes. My biggest issue is the dialogue pacing, it’s very slow and can make parts feel boring. It would be much better if the speech speed were more natural.
Absolutely unexpected jewel. If you are into S-Fi Horror, you will like this game. The graphics, animations, voice acting, music, sound design, and above all, the story are outstanding. This game is not what you come for, its better. I recommend playing it in DirectX 12 because the lighting completely transforms the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the optimization is poor, so it will demand a powerful PC. DirectX 11 is acceptable, but it changes completely the vibes of the game. That is the only thing they should improve. Masterpiece of a game.
Cronos: The New Dawn Review – Great Atmosphere, A Bit Repetitive As a big fan of sci-fi and cosmic horror, I really enjoyed Cronos: The New Dawn. It is a great mix of Lovecraftian atmosphere, Chernobyl-like disasters, and post-apocalyptic settings. Here is a quick breakdown of the pros and cons (in my opinion). THE GOOD: Great Atmosphere: The graphics are beautiful and perfectly show a ruined, creepy world. Balanced Pacing: The combat is satisfying and well-paced. Instead of relying on cheap jump scares, the game uses them sparingly but effectively, forcing you to stay alert and tense while exploring. Simple Weapons: The weapon selection is simple but effective. There is enough variety to fit your playstyle without being overwhelming. Good Length & Exploration: The game doesn't feel rushed. It rewards you for exploring, reading notes, and listening to audio logs. Interesting Story: The story is woven in a way that lets you piece the puzzle together and draw your own conclusions, even though the main plot line does satisfyingly unravel by the end. THE BAD: Confusing Moments: While the story flows well for the most part, it occasionally takes sharp turns that might make you second-guess yourself and wonder if you missed something crucial. Unoriginal Enemies: The game takes heavy inspiration from games like Resident Evil, Dead Space, and Silent Hill. Sometimes it feels like a direct copy. For instance, enemies overgrown with black veins feel a bit too familiar. Gun Reload: I get it, when you get out of bullets you need to reload, but it is very frustrating in a game to have to do this manually. When you run out of bullets, make te reload be automatic when you click to shoot, you still have to reload :P Repetitive Bosses: Some bosses are recycled multiple times with the exact same mechanics. It gets boring after the second or third time. It would be better to have fewer bosses that are completely unique—especially since the game has one amazing boss fight close to the end (no spoilers). Low Replay Value: Having multiple endings is a nice touch on paper. However, in the age of YouTube, I don't see much incentive to replay the entire game just to see a slightly different conclusion, especially when the endings don't diverge that drastically. FINAL VERDICT: Overall, the developers did a fantastic job delivering a deeply atmospheric action-horror experience. Despite a few frustrating moments, I am incredibly glad I saw this journey through to the end. In a way, those frustrating elements are just part of the survival horror charm.
советую, но душновато спустя 3-4 часа игры,для фанатов resident evil, silent hill, Dead Space думаю стоит, жду dlc
Интересно
Astonishing Masterpiece. Great Story, atmosphere and gameplay. Enjoyed every second of it. Such is our Calling.
absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic
Awesome survival horror game with a story that captivated me. Had to turn my settings down some, made my rig run a bit warm. Looking forward to replaying for other endings and to achievement hunt, as well as the new DLC. The resource management took some getting used to, and you'll kick yourself over missing shots at the beginning until you are more established. But don't give up or get discouraged. Such is our calling.
No map really makes playing this damn game a chore, I spent more time running around using the pointless little compass at the top trying to figure out my objectives backtracking than I did actually playing the game
Phenomenal survival horror experience. As expected from a Bloober team game, the story is excellent and right up their alley. However, the gameplay here is actually very well made as a survival horror entry combining dead space and newer resident evil mechanics - it's rare to see a Bloober team game have gameplay shine so bright, but it is very welcome.
