Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy

Its Crash Bandicoot. Its a furry game that will seriously test your platforming skills, depth perception, reflexes....and patience. Its incredibly unforgiving at times (especially with obtaining the coloured gems) but in the remake the bonus round deaths no longer effect it, which wasn't that way in the original. So there is that. Its just a great game, albeit a frustrating one at times...but that's part of the fun. Its extremely satisfying when you learn the level lay out and timings for all the obstacles and get a perfect time trial run

After playing an old school platformer (spyro) and loving it so much that I craved more, I thought Crash would be a great follow-up. That was not the case for me. The locked 3D camera and platformer genre is the worst combo I could imagine. I found the game to be overall unfun and felt as though I was playing a glorified mobile game. I had nostalgia with Spyro which might be why I enjoyed it so much more, but truthfully, I think Crash just isn't it for me.

Great game, as it was 25 years ago!

Solid remaster of the original Crash trilogy. Not a bad game to play for small chunks of time on Steam Deck. Gameplay is kind of frustrating with the trial and error platforming on the later levels...but if you're looking at this collection, you likely know what you're getting into. Also, some of the bosses could have been...better designed. There's one boss for example where you're supposed to jump on his head at certain part, but I couldn't get it to work unless I jumped *to the left* of his head. Just one example of a few annoying things, but overall the experience is solid.
