I grew up with this game as a teenager and I loved it. Now I'm playing it again as adult I love it same as I first played it! This game is super fun!

it should’ve been spyro and ty instead of spyro and crash , loved this game as a kid loved this game coming back to it 15 years later ❤️ thank you for this gem

The general gameplay is very smooth and progressing through colorful levels with funny soundtracks, a whole lot of different boomerangs each with their own style and effects and a cast of hilarious characters made for a great time! The humour and dialogue in this game is at points a tad bit cringe and bad but I found it amusing and I really enjoyed my time with this game just as much as I did on the PS2! This is truly a game that lets the platformer heart beat happily![/i] [h3][b]The Positives[/b][/h3] [list][*]Colorful levels that are just the right size, neither too big nor too small! [*]Wonderful soundtracks, I enjoyed the music overall! [*]Actual true platforming how it used to be. As in the majority of the game is actually spent as TY running, jumping and climbing through the biomes rather than a bazillion vehicle or shooter-sections. The one "vehicle"-level is not frustrating and surprisingly done very well and entertaining so this is a big plus! The few sliding sections are done well and the controls are very easy so this game even manages to make this smooth which isn't something that many other platformers can say about themselves! [*]The many variations of the boomerang TY can use is interesting and offers a lot of fun, each boomerang has their own style with unique effects and some enemy types require specific boomerangs to damage. [*]The story is adorable, it might not be the grandest but I really enjoyed it! [*]The characters are all adorable with their own unique personalities and overall they brought about a very good vibe throughout the entire game - I would describe it as very cozy! [*]This game in my personal opinion has a very healthy amount and balance of different collectibles. The gears, thundereggs and opals are easy to find and even though some of the hidden bilby-friends was a bit tough in some levels it still isn't too frustrating. The only thing is if you are impatient and run around too fast it might be an opal isn't sucked towards you fast enough and you end up with 299/300. Now THAT will be a pain, trust me! [/list] [h3][b]The “Not So Goods”[/b][/h3] [list][*]If you have no experience with this game the bossfights are hella confusing. There is nothing explained and it is basically a "trial and error" thing if you do not want to use a guide. Once you know what to do the fights are actually quite simple though! [*]Despite us having so many different boomerangs, actually you end up needing maybe two or three at most. There are clearly "BiS" boomerangs but this is only a problem if you want to be most efficient. This game is pretty easy so nothing speaks against experimenting with weird boomerang choices. [*]I absolutely did not enjoy the bonus levels. I won't spoiler but they felt so unecessary and boring to me, especially after I completed Hardcore and needed to do them for the 100% Hardcore achievement. [/list]
