Reviews
It's just as good as I hoped!
Having played the previous installment extensively (on different PCs and platforms) I know I was in for a treat as soon I fired up the game. Normally I am not the type that buys early access, but as a fan of the franchise I could not let this one go. What I noticed from the start: stable 60 FPS. More than enough options to make you happy and offering all the options needed to make it juuuust perfect. Smooth animations and excellent lightning. The first mission demostrates the capabilities of the engine and it is glorious. And the soundtrack hits the right spot. For somebody who is a fan of EBM and Electro (Industrial) this pleases me immensely. I need to sleep, but I will continue tomorrow. I am looking forward to this adventure.

Honestly I like this a lot. It feels like a step forward for the game's universe, and it excels at pulling off the vibe it's going for. It feels like the devs know exactly what they want to do and say, and are doing just that.
The game get's pretty difficult but life is difficult and so is art. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2852811377
I have a sweet spot for top down shooter so after Brigador this is a must. Same universe, same design, new ost with a brand new gameplay. You'll raid sectors with different objectives using what you bring to fight and gather loot so surviving is crucial because if you die you'll lose all. Bringing the loot home and finishing objectives allow you to upgrade your base and unlock new missions. Missions are replayable, the loot and enemies position is different every time. The content is enough to enjoy the gameplay loop. There are tons of weapons with different calibers and behavior. After nearly 10h i'm reaching the point where i can equip vehicles. Some missions are extremely hard so be prepared for some unfair defeat (jetpack guy can go **** himself). No crash so far, many placeholders for weapons (in UI, they work), it lacks some information here and there especially at the beginning (need objectives to guide the player more clearly, i.e build the vehicle to transport the injured guy). Overall i'm loving it, glad to see another game in the Brigador universe.
Welcome back, Insurgent. The Demo was already brilliant. The Early Access is amazing, brilliant gunplay and brilliant driving. Even if you can't get the main game, play the Demo, it has hours upon hours of content.
I promise to change my review into a positive one once you bring back the content from the demo and the prior itch builds. I can't believe you guys decided to punch me in the ♥♥♥♥ so hard with this piece of ♥♥♥♥ Early Access launch. Can't wait to see the game in all its glory once you work stuff out !!!! Love you!
If the first two GTA and the Hotline Miami games had a baby and that baby was really into cyberpunk. It's fun and I am enjoying the sandbox run, gun, and scavenge gameplay loop. Oh and mechs, nuff said.
I never buy early access games, but I had so much fun playing the demo that I felt compelled to buy it. While I totally understand the frustrations and criticisms levied by a lot of other reviewers, I trust that this game will be incredible when it eventually releases in 1.0. This is an early access game and is not feature complete, so caveat emptor. For me personally, I don't regret buying this game, but each person needs to decide for themselves whether they want to spend money now for an incomplete product or wait for the full release.
First hour is just tutorials, throwing rocks at hobos and getting knocked over and stunned. After finally getting a barely decent gun the games objective becomes
get this guy a wheelchair and first guy you encounter next mission has the wheelchair, i decided that i didn't want to to waste the ammo killing some bandits for him so I offed him and tried to steal the wheelchair but the game wouldn't allow me to head back the way i came and forced me to go fight the bandits anyway.
I didn't want to waste my entire refund period playing a bumfight simulator before i could see if I actually enjoy the game that was advertised. Apparently the demo gave you plenty of ammo and access to the city at the start and it was great.
