Great game if you don't mind giving money to fascists. The head artist on the game and co creator was exposed to have deeply bigoted views, and had pretty messed up things to say about marginalized groups. He released an apology that i appreciated at the time, but someone also revealed that he foresaw being caught and had a plan for what he would do if he was. His behavior followed that plan. Still, I gave him the benefit of the doubt... That was until after the release of second audio book. I listened to the whole thing, and got the vibe that the author was trying to say something in his story... I didnt suspect anything bad, I was just curious about him so I looked online to see if he had a twitter. It was hard to find, but when I found it, I saw a series of xenophobic and racist posts. One was a retweet of a historian youtuber posting in support of the "homeland party" in the UK which is an ethonationalist political party, and the youtuber himself posts N@zi apologist, revisionist history. A bunch of other posts were fear mongering about non white immigrants...it was blatant N@zi stuff. When I raised concerns about it, I was banned from the subreddit pretty quickly, and the devs blocked be on every social media platform. Hugh, if youre reading this, you seem like a good guy, but im just really let down and disappointed. I told everyone this was my favorite game of all time before all of this and i meant it. Uninstalling this game really sucked, but thats how revolting the world view the people you collaborated with is. I just cant ignore it, its THAT bad.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Half of Stellar Jockeys is a genuinely terrible person that doesn't deserve your money. The other half was aware enough about this to make a twitter apology post saying that his words in the past (less than a week from the statement) shouldn't reflect the views of their works and that the offending party been removed from the team for the sequel; he'd later mention that he'd brought him back on less than three months afterwards in the same tone as a mild annoyance that they'd planned around. I mean, they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ made the game in the same room. Don't buy this game, don't buy Brigador Killers. Don't even pirate it. Even the audiobook author was an actual neo-nazi. I hope someone plunders every single good idea this game had so I can credit someone that isn't a virulent fascist.
Creator apparently went on a massive transphobic and holocaust-denying rant right before MandaloreGaming's video came out and entirely buried the fallout from that in a sea of hype. If I had known about this, I would not have bought the game. Don't think I can post links in this, but the receipts are pretty easy to find online once you know what you're looking for.
Brigador is one of the most criminally overlooked indie games ever made. It launched in 2016 to almost no audience due to poor marketing and unfortunate timing, despite being an outstanding game. Thankfully, Up-Armored Edition gave it the second chance it deserved, and today it's easier than ever to appreciate this hidden gem. The gameplay is phenomenal. Every mech, tank, and hovercraft feels distinct, the fully destructible environments are endlessly satisfying, and missions reward planning just as much as raw firepower. Add gorgeous voxel visuals, a rich cyberpunk world, and an incredible sense of atmosphere, and you've got something truly special. But the real star is the soundtrack by Makeup and Vanity Set—one of the greatest synthwave OSTs ever composed, and one that perfectly defines the game's identity. It has a steep learning curve and some clunky menus, but if you stick with it, Brigador offers an experience unlike anything else. A cult classic that deserved far more attention than it received.
Game was made by fascists. They silently rehired the guy who was the problem. you've earned a Nazi Bar sticker.
In the end, I unfortunately have to go with a no. I've picked up Brigador like three or four times in the last few years and every time I've appreciated it a little bit more. I went in expecting a pseudo RPG because of the isometric style in the vein of Shadowrun Returns or Pillars of Eternity and was pleasantly surprised to find myself playing a very satisfying and detailed mech shooter. I think what Brigador does very well is the obvious stuff. It looks fantastic, the spritework is great. Soundtrack but more importantly sound effects are pretty satisfying. Contrary to most I didn't really have any issues with the controls with the exception of the aiming from time to time. I initially enjoyed the unorthodox way the campaign told the story and allowed you to "buy" lore as you made money. After going through 95% of the campaign I realized that there's basically no variety in what you do. What you see in the first hour of the game is what you're going to get in the last hour of the game, just absurdly more difficult. It got to the point where I genuinely could not beat the last two missions of the campaign. I can't recall the last time I got so far into a game and couldn't beat it at the very final stretch. The soundtrack, while good initially, has a very small selection of tracks so you end up hearing those over and over again too. Lastly, I enjoyed reading about the story via briefings in text and hoping that it would use that as a way to indirectly tell you about this world and these characters, but it kind of ends up being all random snippets that barely connect to each other. I didn't care about blowing up another set of buildings for the 30th time because I wasn't given enough information to motivate me. Even though I'm not recommending it, there's not a hair on my head that hates this game. There's clearly effort put into it. It just didn't do enough, either in terms of story, fleshed out characters, or gameplay. For something that looks so flashy and slick, it's weirdly dry and uneventful. Whatever the developers plan to do, I hope they go further with their next project.
What is the true value of human life? $50.
This game is extremely cool but one of the main devs turned out to be a giant bigoted piece of ♥♥♥♥, so I unfortunately can't recommend you give them money. :/
