About
This is the original version of Braid from 2009, which may not work well on newer systems. For an updated version of the game with nicer graphics, more levels and a large amount of developer commentary, see Braid, Anniversary Edition.
Braid is a puzzle-platformer, drawn in a painterly style, where you can manipulate the flow of time in strange and unusual ways. From a house in the city, journey to a series of worlds and solve puzzles to rescue an abducted princess. In each world, you have a different power to affect the way time behaves, and it is time's strangeness that creates the puzzles. The time behaviors include: the ability to rewind, objects that are immune to being rewound, time that is tied to space, parallel realities, time dilation, and perhaps more.
Braid treats your time and attention as precious; there is no filler in this game. Every puzzle shows you something new and interesting about the game world.
Key features:
Newly added Steam Cloud support
Save your in-progress game to the cloud, then play where you left off from on any Steam connected computer.
Forgiving yet challenging gameplay:
Braid is a 2-D platform game where you can never die and never lose. Despite this, Braid is challenging — but the challenge is about solving puzzles, rather than forcing you to replay tricky jumps.
Rich puzzle environment:
Travel through a series of worlds searching for puzzle pieces, then solving puzzles by manipulating time: rewinding, creating parallel universes, setting up pockets of dilated time. The gameplay feels fresh and new; the puzzles are meant to inspire new ways of thinking.
Aesthetic design:
A painterly art style and lush, organic soundtrack complement the unique gameplay.
Nonlinear story:
A nonlinear fiction links the various worlds and provides real-world metaphors for your time manipulations; in turn, your time manipulations are projections of the real-world themes into playful "what-if" universes where consequences can be explored.
Nonlinear gameplay:
The game doesn't force you to solve puzzles in order to proceed. If you can't figure something out, just play onward and return to that puzzle later.

Reviews
Good puzzles with fun jump and run action.
I'm so tired of developers moving updates to a "new" game which forces the owners of the original to buy the game again.
DIFICIL. MUITO DIFICIL!! AO PONTO DE CHEGAR A SER IRRITANTE! A PIOR MECANICA DE MANIPULAÇÃO DE TEMPO QUE JÁ VI EM JOGO!! a UNICA COISA que PRESTA NELE é a ARTE e SÓ!

[th]Aspecto[/th][th]Puntuación (0-10)[/th][th]Comentario[/th]

Jugabilidad9Plataformas + tiempo: simple, preciso y adictivo.

Música9Gran banda sonora: te acompaña y te manipula emocionalmente.

Voces0No hay voces. Cero.

I'd like to say that I don't think Braid respects your time. For a game where the main mechanic is rewinding time if you make a mistake instead of starting over, there sure are a lot of things that require you to start over. I frequently, in my short experience with the game, had to waste a lot of time restarting and trying multiple times to get the execution of a puzzle just right, after I'd already solved it. That's puzzle design 101, Jonathan Blow, that feels awful. But what's probably more accurate to say is that I'm not smart enough for Braid. After getting frustratingly stuck on an optional puzzle in a stage, I decided to just move on and complete the levels. And then I completed the entire next world in 2 minutes. I realized that just getting to the end of the stage is not a puzzle in Braid, and when these optional puzzle pieces whose function hasn't been explained to me are the only real gameplay, I feel ridiculed by the game for not being able to solve them. I think my real issue with Braid is that the game expects you to view it as a masterpiece. It's almost a foregone conclusion for the game that you think its an artistic achievement, and thus it can do no wrong. That's bold, and from the general consensus, it seems like it worked. But maybe I'm just not smart enough to see its genius.
