About

Do you miss running your finger along the spines of all your game boxes, deciding what you might be in the mood to play? Do you long for instruction manuals, inlays, and that intoxicating plasticky smell when you crack open a new box and bury your nose inside. Ahhh.
BOXROOM is a shrine to all of that; a little space to call your own, and a way to explore and interact with your game library in a more meaningful way.
It's a throwback to the bedrooms and game-spaces of yesteryear - a place for shelves, cabinets and curated displays, for posters, figurines and collectors items.
It's also a game, if you want to call it that; a design/decorator-sim giving you the space to put a stamp on your Steam library and game collection. After setting up your room and preferred shelving arrangement, the game will boot your ACTUAL Steam library onto the shelves - giving you space to arrange, curate and explore your collection as you see fit.
Put your feet up! Sit back and soak in the space.
You can then share your room with a friend (or your mortal enemy I suppose) to show off your collection in all its glory.

Build, design and arrange your game room
Populate your shelves with your actual game library, direct from Steam
Search the BoxCo Catalogue for your preferred furniture and furnishings
Secret figures, collector's editions and upgrades based on certain games - how many are hiding in your collection?
Pick up, inspect and re-arrange your game-boxes as you see fit
Boot your games....from BOXROOM!
Share your rooms with friends and show off your collection
Integrate your own items and textures with Steam Workshop functionality.

nice room building game \
Love the game but I do have some Mini suggestions: 1.maybe put a real search in there? So you don't need to download one image in a time? 2.Also how about the option to hold more than one game in a time?

Quite good, a little barebones at the moment but I enjoyed spending a little bit of time designing a room and using it as a physical way to look at my growing Steam backlog. I appreciate there are some glitches right now, but there's nothing majorly game breaking. All my best to the developers working on this, looking forward to seeing future updates.
i really cute idea i love putting on my games in my dream game room
.
Love the game & concept so far. But I definitely agree that it needs improving. So far, here are my big ones: - Better game integration How your current system works is beyond me, but I'm noticing that it doesn't seem to pickup some games, and even seems to think DLCs are launchable games themselves. That's not really my main gripe though, the big one is I think it's a huge missed opportunity not to have Non-steam games being pulled. I guarantee it would change a lot of things - Improved Game Cases/Customization The idea is novel, but feels limited. I would love if we could fine tune each game we want and customize if it's a CD, Cartridge, Floppy Disk, etc. - Organized catalogue I love the style of the catalogues themselves, but I feel like they could be better organized so the player can find the parts they want easier. I.E. shelving and furniture are all under one, while desk & pc equipment are all under another - Better Presets I think giving players better preset rooms like a 90s bedroom, or a Studio Apartment. IDK that's just my opinion. - Streamlined Workshop I cannot stress how missed of an opportunity not having player generated items is! Of course, I'd get this to 1.0 before opening the floodgates, but even a system to handle something like that would go a long way.
good game
I really like that you can display your Steam game and posters and whatnot. The problem that I'm really having is Importing the images to the game case or posters I'm not really tech savvy I hope they can add the copy image paste To make it easier for others and people like me Besides that I really like it I hope to see more improvements of the game Update in the future
This game is so much fun! I wont lie it does still need some work and its defintly not near completion but it is really fun to decorate a house and display my collection
