House Flipper Remastered Collection

i love the game but i will say i was hoping the cave behind the cabin in the wood house should have been removed in the remaster. its very wrong to just clean off stuff like cave paintings and indigenous stuff.

Let me preface this by saying I loved the original game. It's legitimately one of my favourite games of all time. But the problems in this remaster are inexcusable. Thank God they didn't just update the original game, otherwise they would have ruined it. Please just go play the original House Flipper. The lighting is the biggest issue here, as others have mentioned. Outdoors is dark during broad daylight, and indoors is washed out and bright… how did this happen? Who ignored it or didn't notice it? Why isn't it fixed? Anyway, it's actually ridiculously bad lighting. As in, your homes will look and feel clinical instead of cozy. I do appreciate the title cards for each job and the voice acting and story though. These are cute additions. Along with consolidating everything into one easy to use map. But the visuals in this remaster are… worse than the original somehow. Hopefully they fix this but it's been quite a while and they've made some updates claiming to make improvements but I can't see any. I got this for nearly free due to the loyalty bundle since I had all DLC in the original game, but if you paid full price I feel bad for you. On the bright side it made me want to start a new playthrough of the original game, which is still a masterpiece.

Let me start by saying I LOVE this game. But the bugs have made it unplayable...literally. I can no long access the browser to go to the house I was working on to fix up and sell. The menu turns to a different language while the rest of the game remains in English and I am unable to exit the computer. I end up having to CTRL+ALT+DEL to get out of the game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game with no help. I have also run into issues where the furniture being requested in particular jobs show up neon pink, no matter what color i change it to. It has been bugs after bugs, after bugs.

I absolutely love house flipper and house flipper 2, however there have been a lot of bugs during the game, including things not connecting properly and have to keep going back to the office to make things work with the builds I was in progress of doing. I left Winter Hills till last as it was my favourite in the original. I have never been so disappointed in a remaster. There is no sparkle of snow on the paths and the snow drifts feel that they have just been put in as an afterthought, but the worst is the decorations. They are just flat, there is no sheen on what was a beautiful metallic. I was really looking forward to the remaster, but I am so disappointed. It has dented my confidence in the House Flipper game.

I absolutely adore House Flipper 1 and 2. I've done all the missions in both games at least once. But this remaster just wasn't ready for release. There are some QoL improvements but also a ton of graphical issues, and graphics are the whole point of a remaster! Grass and mops look super grainy no matter what graphics settings I use. Mops leave ghost images behind when you use them. Lights create this horrid bloom effect that can't be turned off. Surfaces that shouldn't be reflective, like window sills, reflect like a mirror. Actual metal objects also reflect way too much detail, for example the metal knobs on the radiator. All in all, I'd say this version just isn't worth it right now. Stick to the old one. As an huge fan of HF 1 and HF2 i was extremely excited for this game as HF1 was my fav. Unfortunately in the games current state I do not recommend that you buy this game for this price. I have tried everyday to play this game but the constant crashing and the inability to even load the game up are extremely frustrating, I have minimized my workshop items to almost nothing (which took hours) and there was no difference at all. The game takes about 10 min to start (if you're lucky) then might crash as you load into your office. the workshop items don't even appear in game. 97% of the time the game will crash and close after waiting 10 minutes loading the game after you have to prompt task manager to figure out if it is even running. Before this horrendous update in June that completely made this game unplayable it was already extremely laggy and full of bugs. If you are a fan of House Flipper at least wait for these issues to be fixed. It does seem like every new update is not really fixing the core problem even though the developers are saying it is. I'm not a developer and i apologize for my ignorance when it comes to this type of stuff. But saying a game is working and that they fixed something that clearly wasn't fixed is strange in any profession. I understand they are busy. But they need to understand i paid real money for this product that is not being delivered in its promised state. Wish i could have left a positive review, but i don't want others wasting there money and time at least until these issues are resolved. I bought this game day one which was massive mistake

I still think this game needs a LOT more time in the oven. I have a fairly decent computer and it crashes and lags and bugs out almost every session. And I've even lowered my settings to the point I might as well play the Original. The games got heart, good style, sound, fun mini games... But the sheer amount of hotfixes (9 in over a month) should tell you all you need to know. Wait and buy this game maybe next year with a sale on.

Better off just getting the original. The Remastered has more bugs and glitches. Plays terrible. Not worth it at all.

Everyone is saying that there are a lot of bugs and glitches, but after 11 hours of playing I have seen none of those. Since the remastered came out there have been like 10 patches at the time of me writing this review, so if these bugs were there, they are surely not there anymore. I loved the original game, and the remastered version is still satisfying, not to mention the improvements. I love the new tools, especially the copy and modify option that got added from the second game. I love that they upgraded those uncanny 3D pictures the buyers had in the original game, and that every quest comes with a little cutscene where we can see the person we will work for, and hear their voice, along with seeing an original quest title art for all of them. I find this really charming, especially the titles, because they are just so unnecessary, but the devs still decided to take time and make original art for every quest. It just shows how much love they put into this title, and I am sure there will be many patches to come to smooth out the experience. Also, if you have the original game and any/all DLC, you can get the remastered for cheaper, which I found nice.

PROS: - Graphics definitely got a revamp. Love it. - Placement grid is nicer to work with. - Workshop items from HF 1 imported well (apart from those over [strike]3mb[/strike] 10mb now) and work just fine. Some are duplicated but it's whatever, no problem. - Job map is really nice to work with and made me actually want to do the jobs. - VAs are great - Changed lines when doing up a house for flipping are a nice touch CONS: - On controller, when you're buying something, you still get the infinite scrolling glitch when selecting colours and such. Very frustrating, ruins gameplay when it happens. - Lots of movement glitches compared to HF1 - Lots of light-based visual glitches, flickers, flashlight just flickers as if its dying - Store menu organises by location names not the DLC names we know from before. Confusing and borderline annoying at times. - No HFR workshop (yet? Please?) - Tool shed and some other items don't actually customise even when you've triple checked, bought it again with the customised colours. Just goes back to default. Really, really silly issue there. - Some items just outright VANISH so you can't move or get rid of them. You have to play chicken with them, or just give up and accept you can't do anything about it. - *Edit to add new one* can't enter my own chicken coop area through the chicken fence gate on reload. [hr][/hr] In it's current state, at full price, I do NOT recommend House Flipper Remastered. If these silly bugs were fixed, I'd change my mind. As it stands, buy it on a huge sale, or just go to HF1.
