Really really unfortunate, since this is genuinely an amazing game - has an incredible battle system, lots of pretty good story/campaign content, amazing music and visuals, I could go on and on, but either the devs/publisher or Windows or something has changed in the years since this game released and its almost unplayable now. Launching the game is basically rolling a die on whether it'll crash or become unresponsive before you even get into the menu(even worse if you have multiple screens or other windows open, sometimes it'll bug out and force your cursor to another window then when you try to return to the window it either crashes, goes perma black screen, or 'works' but you can only interact with a portion of the screen), loading any of the menus for campaign/battle can freeze/crash, editing settings in the battle screen can freeze/crash, creating/editing fleets can freeze/crash(even worse for massive fleets, which to me was one of the biggest draws of this game), loading into a battle can crash, starting a battle can crash, it can crash randomly during a battle, it can crash when the battle ends...Basically every time something happens the game can crash or freeze with seemingly little to no pattern/warning. And I used to play this game all the time on this same laptop with no issue... You might be able to get a handful of played rounds out of a couple dozen attempts to run the game, or you might be able to play a dozen straight rounds with few issues besides some graphical glitching on start, or you might never be able to get into a battle before crashing - either way, I don't think this game is worth buying anymore, unless it goes to like an under 3-5 dollar sale or something, or you're planning on maybe running this on old hardware/Windows versions/drivers/etc., maybe then you might find some success.

BFGA2 is a prime example of a sequel done right - basically everything across the board has been improved, expanded, and refined, and what you end up with is basically the #1 way to experience naval combat in the 40k universe. One major change from the first game is the style of campaign - it's no longer a linear experience, and instead gives you a quasi-4X type of mode to play through, with multiple sectors and systems to vie for control over whilst battling against basically all the original Battlefleet Gothic factions. Sprinkled between the more open-ended style of gameplay, are voiced story moments and a generous offering of excellent cutscenes. Whilst it is somewhat of a shame that the campaign isn't as narratively rich as the first game, I think it's actually still a good change overall, as the replayability has increased ten-fold. The game also features multiple campaigns, consisting of Imperial, Necron, Tyranid, and Chaos (DLC). Obviously, Imperial is the longest, most expansive, and the core focus of the game, but the others are fun in their own right too. In terms of the gameplay - yeah, it's very similar to the first game but streamlined in some ways and expanded in others. Overall though if you liked the first then you'll definitely like this. One of the only complaints I have with the game, and the reason why my hours aren't far higher than ~45 (so far), is that the game is just STRESSFUL lol. I mean, it's definitely fitting for the setting, and especially the Gothic sector, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Playing the campaign after a long day of work is often just too much to handle, as (after the first few hours of the campaign) you're constantly facing invasions and attacks from all sides 24/7, with never enough fleets to stop them all, and a massive amount of sectors and systems to try defend. It's definitely intended to be like this, and on a chill/relaxed Sunday I do enjoy the tension, but for a chill gaming sesh on a weeknight it's just too much stress for my brain to handle lol. A relaxing experience, this is definitely not. To sum up, I 1000% recommend this to 40k fans, as the high level of quality found in this game, be it the gameplay, graphics, cutscenes, voice acting, isn't super common for the IP (as we very well know) and so even if you aren't into naval combat per-se, I'd still recommend it even just for the story alone (maybe just turn down the difficulty a bit though, if you want a more chill experience). Also FYI - all the technical issues mentioned in other recent reviews have been fixed, so that's no longer an issue.

This game is just peak. its very complicated and full of mechanics but its so flushed out and really easy to understand and get the hang of. I never felt overwhelmed by the mechanics, just overwhelmed by the tyranids! This game makes me feel like a an Admiral of the Imperial Navy. My shower thoughts are now all about strategizing my next battle and how to build my fleet. Ignore the recent reviews of the game not working, i got it a couple of days ago (feb 7 2026) it works just fine. For The Emperor!

ИМПЕРАТОР СОХРАНИ!!!!!!!!!!!! Примерно так выглядит 90% боев против всего пиздеца из ксеносов и еретиков а от боев с тиранидами можно и ПТСР словить когда вблизи корабля находишь 20 тиранидских кораблей. (И я не шучу я серьезно читал молитвы и императору и омниссии чтобы рой из 2 флото (1800 силы) не сожрал мои 2100 потому что ИЗВИНИТЕ НО 20+ кораблей которые только в путь выносят экипажи а бомбардировщики не могут подлететь это слишком) шо по геймплею то он такой же как в армаде 1й за исключением того что переделана система секторов, ну и астартес теперь не платное ДЛС а имбовые войска которые выносят хаос вперед ногами, ну и нашел интересный баг, если на систему нападают вне этого сектора то мины не сработают и 1 фиг будет 3 флота противника Оптимизация хорошая на тостере запускается и относительно стабильно работает нуу иногда вылетает но ты же делаешь сейвы? А так 30-40 фпс тоесть плавная картинка есть К игре рекомендую

Game is great fun, I see a lot of reviews about the game being unplayable due to crashes, especially on modern computers. But I have been playing the game for two weeks with not a single crash only dropping below 100FPS once late into a campaign. I think it may be hit or miss with luck, so if you buy be prepared to possibly have to refund but otherwise I recommend if you're fan of Warhammer 40k Windows 11 Geforce 5060 Ram 16GB Intel Core Ultra 5 225F (3.30 GHz)
