This was fun near the beginning, but a lot of the quests got very repetitive. There's also not an automation system to prep food. This is most obvious when picky "special" guests arrive and want things you can technically make but don't have the supplies for and thus don't have on your menu, so it can be really frustrating to accommodate for them unless you want to fill almost every last space you have with back-to-back ovens/grills/stoves. I did play solo, so that likely didn't help, but much of the game felt like a slog between opening and closing your shop and switching back and forth between quests that sent you literally all over the map. Also, inventory management was a nightmare until late game. If you like games with a grind like that, this may be for you. It's also probably way better when you can balance your tasks with a friend in multiplayer. I wouldn't recommend playing solo. One thing I did find interesting was the Jukebox. Some of the songs were very interesting. Others drove you crazy.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

While fairly enjoyable when playing with a friend, there are many issues with this game. Quests range from boring to irritating and I strongly suspect generative ai was used in writing or dialogue or both. The lack of credits given to any voice actors lends some credence to this. Even if it isn't ai, the dialogue is often nonsensical, unfunny, and voiced by the most stilted voice actors you've ever heard. The gameplay is basically the same for several hours until you finally unlock the inn portion of the tavern and even then, there's not much more variety. It's friend slop, plain and simple.
Really fun game overall. Pretty relaxing concept. I would like to make a suggestion for a future update though. Since there are owls to serve customers and owls that clean up, I was getting a bit overwhelmed with having to cook everything as well as gather ingredients, what I'm trying to say is that I think there should be a chef owl and little accessories for the owls. But overall that's the only thing I would change about it! Hope this helps!
I really love this game! The dialogue is funny and the missions are full of great story line. I would love to see more updates! Obviously game development/making is pretty hard, but I would love to see some of these things: - Being able to visit the king/kingdom - Stacking chests - More guests rooms - More decor/paintings/furniture - Even having precise placement for furniture would be cool Keep up the great work!
Ale & Tale Tavern is a complete joke in the early game. Running the tavern barely makes any money, and most of my income comes from selling chickens, pigs, and doing stupid quests. Managing the tavern is so tedious and unrewarding that it feels like a garbage game inside another garbage game. Side quests constantly send you across the map to kill random monsters, and the enemy spawn rate is so ridiculously low that it honestly feels like the game intentionally lowers it the moment you accept the quest just to waste your time. What is the owl even supposed to do? It doesn't help with anything. People actually enjoy this game? At this point, I seriously have to wonder. Then there's the cave demon quest. The boss can practically one-shot you with a single spell, and suddenly the game expects you to grind for weapon upgrades and craft a bunch of alchemy potions just to stand a chance. Why can't players buy a sword from the beginning? Why lock such a basic weapon behind level 14? Having to use the same axe to fight every animal and monster for hours is unbelievably frustrating. I've probably opened my tavern fewer than five times. The tavern feels like nothing more than an upgrade requirement. So what exactly am I playing here? A tavern management game or a dungeon crawler? If I wanted to spend my time exploring dungeons and fighting monsters, I'd just go play Skyrim. The entire experience feels like digital torture. The art style is the only thing that initially attracted me to the game, which makes the disappointment even worse. And don't even get me started on the gun. A bullet does around 20 damage, which is barely different from swinging a sword. Who thought this was good game design? 2.95$USD isn't going to bankrupt me, so consider it a donation. At least now I know not to expect anything more from this game.
WARNING: Severe optimization issues can kill older hardware. My graphics card ran perfectly fine for 4 years across dozens of demanding games, but Ale & Tale completely destroyed it. The game has known optimization bugs that lock the GPU at 100% maximum capacity and cause sudden, massive transient power spikes. https://steamcommunity.com/app/2683150/discussions/search/?q=GPU&gidforum=4336483930453930308 If your hardware is a few years old, be extremely careful. The game pushed a massive electrical surge that physically burned out my card's power delivery system. If you decide to play this, manually cap your frame rate and lower your power limits in your GPU control panel before launching, or it might kill your hardware too. Developers desperately need to fix how this game utilizes system resources.
Це російська гра не тратьте горші !!!
The art direction is pretty decent with the exception of human models. The tech behind it seems dated, but most of the models and textures are pretty well done. However, everything else about the game is just sloppy and lazily made. Just because it's a working sim, doesn't mean you can get away with putting in zero effort. I don't want to imagine what the added "dungeon crawling" is like as the game doesn't seem capable of much more that "click to attack" In a crowded market full of better games, there are just better ways to spend your time.
