Avencast: Rise of the Mage

It's so fun to cast high variety of spells. Delicious combat, a cliche but easy story to follow. I played this game about 2 years ago and now i wanna play it again it was good tbh.

Juego bastante bueno teniendo en cuenta el tiempo que tiene, Entretenido, con mecanicas de juego interesantes. talvex un poco tedioso en algunos sentidos, pero no pesado, eso si para jugarlo hoy en dia tenes que estar amigado con el "restaurar archivos" de Steam, porque tiende a romperse y quedar injugable con frecuencia 😅

This game is old, and it shows but it is slightly better than it appears. I nearly gave up due the poor control but with changing the camera behind the character, it was playable. The game initially bombed out at the start, but changing the config as suggested by others made it work for me. I even said I was having fun when I got to bash up the bully - three times! Voice acting is great even though the speech was a bit slow than ideal. The initial positive impression soon turned negative however. I got frustrated with the unwieldy UI - for example, in the cauldron mission where you need to cool boiling cauldrons, you will have to open up the Inventory and click on the quest item to cool. The inventory screen would not stay open and cauldrons exploded as I tried to keep having to open up the screen and mouse-click the item. You cannot create a short-cut to the quest item, but why not? The second issue is that enemies are damage-sponge even at the easy level - which makes the game excessively long although not necessarily hard. With some refinements, this game could have been great, but it is currently something I couldn't recommend for modern audiences. Save your money and play something else.

игра детства, вылетает только часто, а так очень мне нравится.

The game was a pretty fun dungeon crawler. I like the unique spell casting mechanic in the game as it's a little different flavor vs just the standard hotkeys method in most games.

Not really a fan of the tank controls and bullet sponge enemies.
