VR Giants

COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE!! My friend and I had separate issues, I will explain everything in 3 sections. 1. The VR portion: Running on a Meta Quest 3 using Steam Link, the game would refuse to open in vr, only opening in desktop mode at first. Eventually, by reading other reviews and discussion posts I realized I had to open the game and select the OpenXR runtime within the local play settings (unintuitive location btw. Make it a launch option in the games steam properties window like every other vr game). Eventually I got it to work with that, however it would lag to the point of almost crashing almost every 30-40 seconds (more on that later) 2. Friend's pass: My friend was trying to play using the friend's pass. I hate to dog on it, as not enough games have a friends pass to begin with so A for effort, however it does not work at all. He would be met with a "select openxr runtime" text and a box with arrows that do nothing. Once he clicked the continue button, it would remain at a loading screen infinitely and crash. Unplayable. 3. Coop: Eventually, we realized we had to use steam remote play that many discussion posts suggested. Got it to work, you have to give keyboard and mouse control as the host to whoever is joining your stream. However, the connectivity issues I talked about earlier made this entire experience a waste of time as the game is completely unplayable. Every 30-40 seconds we would be met with insufferable lag, progressively destroying the game that would either fix it itself randomly or crash both our games. This is a fun concept and we were seriously looking forward to playing it. You can see by my specs, my pc is not the issue. My internet is also good, 1 gig with fiber optic. The devs have done a great job at responding to tickets and discussion posts however with the most recent update being 13 months old, I think it is fair to assume this completely broken game is abandoned. Do not waste your money, you will end up just returning it.

Amazing use of VR and assymetrical coop. I played with my little kid and it was fun for both. Simple too. Communication is key, and platforming is easy but it's there. Highly recommended for coop people.

I plan to keep playing the game and I had some fun with it. Was reading the reviews and it is nice to see requested features were added into the game and the devs responses in the reviews indicate he cares. The friend pass is great and I wish the puzzles were a little more complex but I play puzzle games, and it never claims to be a complex puzzle game. It's exactly what's advertised, a fun game with friends.

IT WHAS GLICHY

Really enjoyable! It's simple yet very entertaining! If you like to play a VR co-op game with a sibling/friend/spouse and they cant handle VR due to motion sickness or they just dont want to wear a headset, this is the perfet game for you! Picking them up in your palm of your hand in VR is something really fun!

★★★★☆ Much fun with a partner or someone you are close with. It's a little jarring and glitchy as Goliath, but its easier with certain settings and very much worth it. Interacting with and doing goofy stuff with the person on PC to farm laughs from them is a lot of fun.

i cant even play online mode ive been wanting to play this with my friend still looks fun
