Burger Shop is the very essence of cooking games, even though there is no cooking involved. But like a cooking game, it challenges your hand eye coordination and short term memory to the limits as you try to get 5 stars on each level. This may just be the fastest paced game I've ever played. It never gets boring for many reasons. 1. There's a lot of variety in foods and drinks, and each item is made quickly in very few steps, such that customers can be served in seconds. 2. Each customer is a character, and each character has its own taste and preferences, which makes them slightly, but not completely predictable. 3. There's an auto-serve robot which can complete one customer's order. This adds a level of planning and satisfaction, as you wait for that complicated order to put the robot on, while you do the easy ones. It's also interesting how I never missed ingredients while making a dish. They'll just appear at the mouth of the machine when they are not available, as if it reads your mind. Lastly, I like that the game has a lot of achievements, so that you never have to grind for one. Burger Shop is as close to a flawless game as you can get, and totally deserves its almost flawless rating.

I installed Burger Shop thinking, “Nice, a chill little cooking game.” What I got instead was a fast-paced test of my reflexes, memory, and remaining sanity. You don’t make burgers in this game. You enter a legally questionable speed-run against hunger itself. Customers walk in smiling, then immediately order something like: “I want a double cheeseburger, no cheese, extra cheese, three patties, one bun, no bun, fries, cola, and your soul.” And if you hesitate for 0.3 seconds, they look at you like you personally ruined their childhood. ~~Gameplay highlights: Burgers stacking higher than my life ambitions Multitasking so intense I forgot how real kitchens work Customers who age 40 years while waiting 6 seconds A soundtrack that slowly turns into boss-fight music in my head By level 10, I wasn’t cooking anymore—I was conducting an orchestra of panic. My mouse hand developed muscle memory. My brain went into burger autopilot. I started seeing buns when I closed my eyes. Would I recommend it? Yes—if you enjoy: ✔️ Controlled chaos ✔️ Being yelled at by cartoon customers ✔️ Feeling like a minimum-wage hero Final verdict: ⭐ 10/10 — I came for burgers and left with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Sandwich Disorder). Now excuse me, I need to go serve a man who wants 7 fries and a cola IMMEDIATELY. 🍟🥤

Installed for nostalgia and it does not disappoint! A perfect game to pass time and with more modes, it's even more fun than I remembered.
