About
“Shadows is some of the most fun I’ve had with a stealth game in a decade” —PC Gamer
Play as Naoe, a quick-witted shinobi, and use light, sound, and shadows to evade detection. Infiltrate enemy strongholds with many parkour options including the new grappling hook, distract guards with shuriken or smoke bombs, and assassinate your targets with your Hidden Blade. As the samurai Yasuke, use silent bow takedowns or unleash devastating melee combos with your katana or naginata.
Switch between these two heroes to adapt your strategy and experience feudal Japan through two radically different approaches – stealth and strength, shadows and steel.

How do you making a boring Ninja assassin game?
Worst AC game over. the two character game play is stupid especially since they force you to play in one character the entire first act and then the final boss at the end of the PROLOGUE is unbeatable unless you are into split second timed combos and technical ♥♥♥♥ which I am not. They also did away with the animal hunting and wildlife attacks that made the other games more engaging. The gameplay is repetitive and the map is boring as every region and every castle looks identical. There's also no falcon to help with the recon of areas and enemy camps. Ubisoft took the AC concept, threw it out of the window and tried to copy Sekiro and Ghosts of Tsunima. This is not a fun game and it is not a well designed game. Glad I got this on sale as this piece of ♥♥♥♥ is not worth paying full price for. I hope that Ubisoft is taking a massive hit in sales for releasing this garbage.

Literally forced myself to finish this game and all the DLCs. I tried to play it without any expectations, but I cannot recommend this game. At first, you may think, “Oh, there is totally different gameplay with the shinobi and samurai,” but everything feels clunky and boring, especially after level 30+. Both characters play kind of the same because of that annoying level upscaling. I beat the final DLC at around level 65, and that stupid enemy scaling to your level completely ruined the experience. Bosses can one-shot you, and some attacks that should be blockable after unlocking the combat block perk still cannot be blocked. Some shots and hits can even ignore walls and buildings. The sad part is that there is no really rewarding gameplay loop that makes you want to keep playing and become stronger. At some point, you realize that since enemies simply scale to your level, it is better to avoid most fights and focus only on key enemies. Exploration also gets very annoying. If you try to cover most points of interest on the map, you will quickly get tired of seeing copy-pasted trees, bushes, and rocks everywhere. There are also so many rocks that look climbable but cannot actually be climbed. Parkour feels very weird sometimes too. Your character can suddenly jump in the wrong direction or simply not go where you want. The story is super weird, especially in the DLCs, and the characters overall are not interesting at all, especially the samurai dude. The only cool thing is Japan and some of the locations. They look really good. I like Japan, by the way. Be aware and buy this game only with a huge discount.
Man this sucks so much
Can't play the single player game without logging in to their idiotic Ubisoft Account system. Otherwise, it's pretty fun.
