The game is okay? I haven't finished it completely yet since the game is so long and constantly crashes or bugs out. Game mechanics are 50/50, its a very fragile game from what I've learned. This game is like if Far cry, Assassin's Creed and Shadow of Mordor had a child that's constantly going through an identity crisis. The story drags on and has open plot points like pot holes on a highway. Why am I building a woman's house, only to have her drug me on purpose then I'm just suddenly in Asgard? Maybe its because I'm sick of dialogue and skip through it but to me this makes no sense. The amount of time I've lost to this game is uncountable due to the fact I feel like I've been doing the same mission over and over again and getting little to nothing in loot or resources. There is very minimal parkour despite being an Assassins Creed game, and the parts that so happen to include parkour make it damn-near impossible due to your character bugging the hell out and not jumping or moving the way you are needed. This game has been out for 6 years and despite only recently playing, I shouldn't be having this many problems. Not to mention the game lagging despite being an exclusively single player game. Maybe its the graphics, or the insane amount of entities the game tries to load, but to me this shouldn't be happening especially when the game was made by a multi-billion dollar company, but its Ubisoft, I shouldn't expect much from them. DO NOT BUY, its a money grab and a major waste of time.
Great attention to detail. Compelling story. Good lore. Fun side activities that don't always feel like fetch quests. BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPES. Sunset reminds me of playing the Witcher 3 ❤
I liked the story so long and I would play the game if I was you.
Still on my first playthrough so keep that in mind.. Well, I didn't have the highest hopes for this game. I played all the ACs up to unity(Which was trash except the co-op). i bought Origins and hated it, This one actually had a decent atmosphere and didn't bore the absolute ♥♥♥♥ out of me. Combat isn't snappy but it has a decent feel. The story is engaging but it doesn't have the same oomph that the Ezio trilogy and Black flag had but its up there for me so far. Honestly solid 7/10. Pick it up on sale and try it if you're on the fence. I bit the bullet and so far am content with my purchase.
I think this is the first game I've actually achieved 100% on.
