This game takes a clever spin on the turn based strategy mechanic and has a ton of humor in the story. It's like an RPG meets RTS in a dystopian (mad max like) setting. Lots of fun ☺️.
This game is a hoot! Filled with fun off the wall humor. I am pretty much a casual gamer these days and this is a fun way to blow off some steam and disconnect from the day.
Abandoned. Shame because it could've been cool.
A game of runs where you travel from one side of the country to the safe spot on the other. The problem is that there’s a crazy gang after you. You start the game by selecting the difficulty. Easy is pedestrian level and is the best way to go if you’re only interested in the story and getting to the end. Normal is probably good for most people. Then you must create four people to accompany you on your journey. While you can change their look, it is far more crucial to give them two perks. There are just five at the start, but ten more will become available after you complete a certain milestone. However, it is simpler to simply hit randomizer utill you are happy. Finally, you select a vehicle. Again, just one is available at first, but additional may be purchased after a few runs. When you first start the game, you are met with a significant hurdle. I'm talking about bizarrely little text, info boxes, and mini-UI in general. This follows you from the beginning of your party planning to all events that occur on the road. Some items, such as map locations, can't even be read. It's a major issue since you need to manage your people while also keeping an eye on resources. Longer runs put a significant strain on your eyes. The gameplay is straightforward. You navigate the United States map by picking roads to the next city. You'll come upon an event along the route. When picking a path, battle events are displayed, so you may try to avoid them by following the "question mark" road. There are several options depending on the event at hand. Battles allow you to either attack, flee, or try to gain an advantage by drawing cards. Other events merely require you to choose between getting more resources or not. Success is determined by luck and is accomplished through the use of cards drawn from a deck. Simply said, you need to have a stronger poker hand than your opponent. If you lose, you can put additional resources into changing a few cards. Your starting perks can help a lot because some grant free draws from the deck. Battles take place on a grid by taking turns. Because there aren't plenty of options, everything is relatively simplistic. You can only move about the grid and ran into opponent cars until you get your hands on weapons. At the end of the combat, you will receive some random resources as well as more or less valuable items. Some items can be combined to create weapons. After a few rounds, your team will have accumulated enough experience to meet the requirements for additional upgrades. They are upgrades to the perks you picked at the start, so there’s not a lot of freedom. Your car, on the other hand, sustains damage during combat, so you need to repair it frequently with scrap. Because there are other resources to consider, you typically can't afford to avoid confrontations. The gang will eventually catch up with you. It’s possible to get away, but it’s very tricky. When you lose, you can try again with the same squad or change a few things. Furthermore, completing achievements awards you unique credits that may be used before the run to start with a better car or some other bonuses.
