The only good thing about this game for me was art. If you're here for cute girls only I'd say go for it but it'll be just that: cute 2D girls. Other than that English translation is awkward, MC is obnoxious and makes 0 sense most of the time (in all languages except for Simplified Chinese and that's because I don't know Chinese), Slavic mythology was mentioned but is mostly there in 'I don't know what I'm doing but I'm doing it anyway', let's scare Slavic spirit with sutras! This game desperately needs someone who can write a coherent story, as of now it looks more like a helter-skelter teaser or a demo.

Повелася на гарні відгуки і українську локалізацію, а гра від російського розробника та видавника, максимально засуджую і не раджу грати в це. Ще і вкрали український фольклор, ніколи такого не було і ось знову.

After rejecting one more girl being close to bringing upon you her romantic confession, you stumble upon an odd dressed girl outside of school who seems to have been taking a look at you for a while, maintaining her distance. After bringing to you some questionable information about having intentions of keeping you safe and spelling a so-defined-by-her spell on you, she leaves you stating that you will find her punctually after school at the same spot. A couple of days later you have to meet up with another girl who left a letter in your locker… While finding her unconscious you suddenly get approached by an ominous dark and distorted creature sending shivers down your spine. Adding to the bizarre and questionable situation - you find standing next to her the same young girl in weird attire you happened to meet before; her name is Iris and she is a young priestess determined to keep you safe from Bolotnitsa.[/i][/b] [h1]An eerie stalker?[/h1] [b]Bolotnitsa (rus. болотница “the swamp maiden”) — an evil spirit of the swamps.[/b] [i][b]So far, from the information you gathered from the tiny priestess, the creature is shifting between two worlds called Nav and Yav. While moving through water, her body is viscid and cold. One of the provided theories would be that she committed suicide by drowning herself while holding an unforgivable grudge or regrets. For some reason she keeps following you, up until inside your house… what will you do?[/b][/i] [h1]Featurings:[/h1] This is choice-based Visual Novel presenting a <1h gameplay. At the game’s start you get to input your name to immerse yourself better in the story. A neat horror story, presenting creepy noises coming from the creature’s side, which do create a really creepy atmosphere (just up to my liking~). While accompanying the game with the use of horror-esque BGM, you will get to see a very cute ending video accompanied by sweet music. The game offers multiple endings, even though some of the choices you may pick will lead you to the same outcome. [h1]A few negative points of this game are…[/h1] [list][*]First of all the use of Russian terms might complicate the reading process, given the title does not offer a proper explanation of our inhuman creature and on what kind of concept her existence is built overall. [*]This VN is lacking details such as background story of Bolotnitsa and her reason behind choosing to follow you out of all people. [*]The questionable outfit the priestess gets changed into with “Daddy” written on the crop-top, was an odd detail as it also appears to not be suited to her character’s personality. [*]This game is way too short. While the premise is really nice and interesting as a horror title, it would have been lovely to experience more content out of it.[/list] [h1]Overall:[/h1] As I did not manage to stumble upon a similar concept in other Visual Novels I enjoyed this title a lot, I personally find its length it to be a pity both for my experience and anyone who might get immersed in the story. Therefore, this title is recommended if you are looking for a short horror VN with both cute and ominous elements! Not recommended if you are looking for a long and detailed read. Very nice story, although it is quite short. I completed the game in less than one hour. Would love to see it 2-3 times longer. Art is good, characters are described quite well. Overall, I think the game worth its cost.

Wet Steps is a very short game, about an hour long if you do everything, only about a half hour if you just go through the game without doing anything extra. There are a few different endings but a couple endings that led to bad endings, the story is very linear except for some dialogue options that change some things characters say and the last three choices that led to 3 different endings, now with the translation, the translation isnt the best BUT it's not as bad as people say, it's still perfectly readable and most of the sentences have no grammar issues in the slightest, it's a cute little story with a tiny bit of horror, only got scared once and i saw it coming but the horror is not the thriving force, it's mostly a romantic novel with a little bit of action in it, pretty good for only a couple of dollars, i would recommend this novel most definitely and if you want to see what the game is atleast like before playing than check out my video on my YouTube channel, theres alot of love into this novel with lots of CGs, even some animation after one of the endings you pick, and with a couple pretty cute girls sprinkled in, https://youtu.be/mKE5LTCu1a0

Средняя новелла. Конечно, я пока только начал её проходить, но тем не менее, есть немного бредового. В общих чертах - новелла неплохая и стоит её пройти, тем более учитывая то, что она дешевая.

I really liked this game. Short, but pretty enjoyable.

Просто маленькая новелка на 1 раз проходиться примерно за час.Пройти и забить.Но нарисовано красиво. Купил вместе с Травницей,так что неплохо,только очень короткая.
