Orders of Magnitude

Decent eye-candy but not much beyond that. It doesn't really work as an educational app because it only gives two sentence summaries of objects and fails to distinguish between what an object literally looks like versus an artistic representation I'd be willing to look past that though. The worst part is it doesn't really do a good job of making differences in scale understandable. I figured I'd at least be able to compare the size of things like a red blood cell and a white blood cell. Or see how big the largest known star is compared to our sun. Instead, at any given scale you're only ever going to see a few objects which are generally too far in the distance or too poorly modeled to really get a feeling for the size of them. For example, at one point you zoom in on a bald guy's head, and instead of seeing something interesting like how big a skin cell is compared to an eyelash, you jump straight to an illustration of how neurons are connected in his brain. Given that this hardly takes advantage of depth perception and has barely any interactivity, why even make this a VR experience instead of a 360 degree video? I realize it's literally 10 times the cost of this game, but seriously save up and buy Universe Sandbox instead

There are a bunch of "magnitude" apps out there but this one is far above average. It's well-made, looks great and has a bunch of info on various objects at various scales. It's fun and educational. At the very bottom of the scale, though, I probably would have ended on quantum foam instead of string theory since quantum foam is a bit more modern and string theory isn't working out no matter how many dimensions they add... 6 dimensions, 10 dimensions, 11 dimensions... Neither one is a fact, though, so it's just a tiny nitpick.

Honestly such a fun experience if you can get this game on sale you can expect to fully beat it within around half an hour like I did, granted I abused a bug to find every thing you can find but it was still very awesome going around the full universe and all the way down to the neutrons of a human brain. I would 100% recommend this game if you have something like young children who want a fun and immersive experience related to space. It is also amazing as it includes bits of information with all 80 collectibles. Immersion - 7/10 (Would be better if your hands got replaced, instead you just have your floating controllers) Gameplay - 9/10 (Wouldn't call it perfect but have literally nothing to argue about, got it on sale for $3.50 and will be getting that money back with a fully completed game.) Overall - 8/10 (Would recommend this game for anyone who wants to look at cool scenery or wants to teach young children about the wonders of space)

Absolutely awesome VR experience

One of my favorite VR experiences. It's one thing to imagine the universe at different scales and another entirely to look at each scale with your own eyes. I do wish some of the textures were better, but it's still impressive-looking. Highly recommended.

All I can say, is WOAH. Spent about 20 minutes in this and it was truly humbling. There isn't much 'to do', it is simply a sliding scale going from the multiverse all the way down to a planck length. It is short, and could be a hard sell for most at full price, but if having an existential crisis is a hobby of yours, this is a gold mine. Or if it isn't this will be a good start. If it's on sale for 20-50% off, it is worth the buy. A truly unique experience, albeit very short, it is fantastic nonetheless. Runs really well also. I ran 120fps at 110% resolution on a Quest 2, and my RTX 3080 maxed out at about 50% utilisation but averaged about 30%.

I bought this for my 12 year old daughter to learn about the universe and the nano world. She was constantly gasping as she played it in VR. There is a lot to learn from this and I myself was amazed at the work put into it. The gameplay is Linear so you can only go forwards or backwards in your discoveries but I highly recommend it. For £3 its an absolute bargain. Many Thanks to the makers, I will keep an eye out for your future releases

i come back every once in a while and play this...... just to get a grasp on how everything is. i am still amazed how we can even conceive the massive distance away from earth, or how small the smallest stuff is. I like at the end when it says "this is all we know for now". You mean someday we will know even MORE of whats going on? Makes ones mind really think about whats out there. Whether the smallest of the small, or the biggest of the biggest. Its crazy, that's all i can say.
