About
The world shuts down due to an outbreak that turns people into zombies. The Global AI takes over to form quarantine zones. You are one of the survivors in a walled off block under quarantine. The city is covered in miasma that sickens people, but you're less affected by it. Perhaps you are the chosen one to save the people in the block.
Gather food and supplies to trade with other survivors. Craft, farm, and cook to make things to help you. As you manage your Energy, Mental, and Hygiene. Build a relationship with survivors by talking to them, giving them gifts, and taking on personal quests to help them. Romance the many beautiful women. Eventually, convert them to your cult.
Watch out and keep yourself from being spotted, as zombies are deadly and can lower your Mental if they spot you. With the right preparation, you may be able to fight them off with a weapon.
Learn skills by reading books to help your survival. From learning to communicate better, craft and cook better, etc, to be more useful to the survivors as well as your own survival.
The game features animated, full, uncensored adult content with partial voice acting.

Game length heavily depends on how you approach quests and manage daily actions. This creates a grind-heavy pacing that can significantly extend playtime.

⚔️ Challenge Demanding. The game is not particularly difficult once its systems are understood. The main challenge comes from time management and the absence of fast travel, forcing frequent backtracking between locations. You are one of them — but unlike others, you believe yourself to be the chosen savior. From scavenging food to building relationships, your goal is not only to survive, but to lead, influence, and eventually convert others into your cult, giving them purpose in a dying world. The narrative is mostly a framework for gameplay systems, with the real focus being on survival loops, social progression, and player-driven interactions.

[th]🎮 Gameplay[/th]

① Survival & Needs Management Manage Energy, Mental, Hunger, Hygiene, and Bladder. All actions consume Energy and advance time. Hunger reduces recovery, while low Hygiene causes Affection loss and requires regular cleaning after scavenging or certain actions. ② Exploration & Day-Night Cycle Explore a small open city with apartments, shops, and loot zones. Resources respawn daily, encouraging repeated scavenging. Zombies are weaker in the morning but become faster and more aggressive at night, encouraging early return home. ③ Stealth & Combat System Enemies use vision cones for detection. Combat is manually triggered and uses a QTE system. Early encounters are difficult due to low stats and tight timing windows. ④ Crafting & Progression Install workstations in your base to unlock crafting. Gather materials through scavenging and dismantling. Craft supplies, electronics, and training tools that support progression. ⑤ Relationship & Affection System Build Affection through dialogue, gifts, and personal quests. Some NPCs gate progression through items and quests. Neglecting them can lead to depression and aggression, requiring QTE dialogue or gifts to stabilize them. ⑥ Intimacy Progression Interactions are gated by Affection. Low levels limit options and may require favors, while higher Affection gradually unlocks more advanced interactions. ⑦ Economy & Progression Pace Progression relies on scavenging, trading, and resource management. Early gameplay focuses on fetch quests, item exchange, and survival needs, creating a grind-heavy loop. ⑧ Starting Background Starting background defines early stats and playstyle, influencing survival, combat, or social progression.

[th]🏆 VERDICT[/th]

Apocalypse Cult Leader is an ambitious hybrid that features survival mechanics, relationship systems, and intimacy progression. On paper, it has everything to appeal, and I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging it turned out to be. It also follows in the footsteps of BDSM Apocalypse, reusing familiar CGs and characters while expanding its systems. The gameplay is based on daily planning. Resources respawn every day, and the protagonist’s immunity to the miasma makes him the only one able to gather supplies beyond limited rations. Survivors depend on him for food, items, and progression, which gives a clear purpose to each outing. Progression is handled through several systems. Books increase stats, while crafting, trading, and relationships provide different ways to advance. Starting backgrounds define early strengths and influence how the player approaches the game. The lack of fast travel makes movement and planning important. Players must return home regularly, especially to avoid stronger enemies at night. Each action consumes Energy and advances time. The game can feel slow due to repetition and Affection requirements, but once the systems are understood, progression becomes more manageable. Overall, Apocalypse Cult Leader offers a solid experience with clear systems and consistent progression. It has some rough edges and can feel grindy, but it remains one of Noxurtica’s stronger titles.

[th]👍 Pros[/th]

▲ Clear survival, relationship, and progression systems ▲ Day/Night cycle affects enemy behavior ▲ Multiple characters with distinct needs and interactions ▲ Crafting and stat progression through books ▲ Stealth and QTE-based combat

[th]👎 Cons[/th]

▼ Grind-heavy progression and repeated routes ▼ Time management can feel restrictive ▼ Early game balance is punishing ▼ Lack of fast travel ▼ Some reused assets from previous titles

Enjoyed the review? I thought this game was interesting with several details in survival of the apocalypse, but the game feels very poorly executed. First of all, the game play while you're walking isn't smooth. It's laggy and not responding well (which leads to being eaten by zombies). Considering it's a pixel art game, I don't think the resource consumption will be an issue, but some how it is for this game. Moreover, the balance is quite off. You get a minimal increase of physical and mental gauge from consuming snacks looted from the store. But you'd lose your mental and health very quickly by just being near a zombie. This game is so poorly balanced that it's unplayable. As the price tag is high, I expect a smoother playing experience than this. I'm looking to give up and refund this product until a significant improvement is made on both the gameplay experience and the balance.
depending on how you play, this can be a very tough game. this is a survival horror adult game about scavenging and setting up a trade system in a zombie apocalypse while hoarding all the surviving ladies. pros it's a zombie game. the map is decently small. not sure if it will expand bigger later. you will become a bookworm, reading all the books scavenge from the library to upgrade you skills. lots of ladies to woo and bang. crafting, cooking and trading. zombies are faster and stronger at night. cons it's a zombie game. to woo the ladies, you don't just have to trade with them, you also have to shower them with gifts, in a world where items are scarce. to recover some physical strength through sleeping during the night, you have to sleep with a full stomach. even then, it won't completely fill the bar. you will always wake up famished so you need to eat first thing in the morning. all cooked food have the same sprite, a ugly bluish grey lump as seen in the trailer. there are 3 places you can raid for items. hardware store, library and supermarket. the first 2 are told in game so you know they exist but the last one, you find it through exploration. i didn't know that place exist until day 12. you only have enough time and energy to scavenge one place each day. combat wasn't explained properly and maybe because my combat skill is low, the speed of the needle is fast and the hit box is small so i kept missing. haven't won a single battle yet. no matter which class you choose at the start of the game, you are super weak. the latest update rectify some problems but you are still very weak. the price of this game is too high, even though i bought it on the opening sale. i wouldn't recommend buying this game until it has a bigger sale. this is a decent game. i can see the devs put a lot of thoughts into making it, but the amount of contents i'm experiencing so far doesn't justify this price tag. i might change my mind later after playing more of the game but this is where i am right now.
Game keep improving since realize its becoming better and better. Still lot of work to do but has really big potential i beleive in dev, and tbh wouldnt recomed buying it without discount
Fetch quest heavy game.
really janky controls that cannot be rebinded. its not clear how to save or exit to the menu.
