The game itself feels like it might become enjoyable, currently it feels far too much like an early access game that didn't get the Early Access tag though, which is never a good thing. So lets just go off with current problems with the game: UI and Graphics - UI, to do a lot of things like crafting and such you need to use a combination of mouse and keyboard, the problem is that when mousing over an item, it changes to that item instantly, even after clicking it, thinking you have locked it. This makes for a mess where you keep fighting with your mouse trying to drag it as to not touch other buttons. Too bad there also is hidden buttons quite a few places. - When checking recipes and skills, you have to use q and w to move between the different skills .. there is zero indication of this, how i found out was with hidden button, or something like that, scrolling through the different skills when I wanted that skill i already was on. After a while I found out I could swap between using q and w, but only if I hadnt already moused over what was below, then no buttons works basically. - Resolution, there is a windowed and a full screen button, windowed makes it bigger, while full screen drags it to your resolution .. buttons ingame seems to not follow that completely, either that or they just sometimes doesn't work. - There is a bit of stuttering when playing the game, not enough to make it unplayable, but enough to make for an annoyance. - As it is, the game needs a revamp of all its UI screens, where mouse over does not swap between buttons as if you had clicked them. There needs to be buttons indicating that you can swap between screens where these are missing, and when mousing over, there should be an indication the button is being moused over. A lot of the screens just feels like pictures where buttons has been added afterward. Gameplay - Balance, so much balance, both in fighting, crafting, money, skills, exp gain, status effects etc. this feels unfinished and in testing stages. - Crafting; you can max any crafting skills by just spamming wood, weeds or copper ore within like 10 minutes. After starting on forest shelter (yeah different shelters) you can get enough grass to max basic crafting and be able to use it later for tailoring, which you will need to survive. - Buying, stuff like plastic etc. needs to be bought, you need electricity to get water, you cannot drink rainwater etc. but you can buy it, for money, which is a problem. - Your inventory will get filled to the brim with crap, as you cannot sell items, there is a weight system in place (no indication how much things weigh, most are either 1 or 2). The reason for this is that you get a lot of items meant to be sold, but you cannot sell stuff before you get friendship to 3. Gifting does nothing other than remove your items giving whining like "this is not a good gift". On that note, most items can't even be gifted. You can do quests for them, but you need money to do the quests, so you always ends up at the same spot. - Fighting monsters in the caves, you can grind and grind and grind for hours, then buy healing potions / sleep in a bed for an hour twice if normal or easy difficulty, but yeah, money. You get like 3$ per killed enemy and some times a coin bag you can trade in for 10$ on travel agency place, the fighting feels a bit clunky, so it takes a while to kill enough enemies for it to matter. - On that note, you have two mobs that doesnt kill you, slime and beetle, already on level two of the mines you meet spider, every single mob but these two will poison you, poison = death, unless you got a bunch of healing potions. On that note, the ticking of poison is buggy, i.e. you can see 10 poison ticks without health going down, if you dont spam healing pots then realizing you are doomed, then you will instantly die to all of the poison ticks happening at the same time, this is clearly a bug. The every enemy doing poison is just insane and takes a lot of the fun away. - In the trailer etc. this comes out as much like a farming sim etc. well in that case you want the foresat shelter, too bad this costs money, and its not like you can sell the foodstuff either, so it will end up rotting, and rotten food is pointless, so why farm at all, the hard shelter you cannot even farm .. this makes me hope you can get all the shelters, as otherwise you lose out on a ton of stuff just choosing the wrong one. So conclusion on farming, costs money, doesnt sell until you have unlocked selling later on, food rots, you can get food by shaking trees and buying it instead. You can buy a room at the inn for a bed, with free food and water, this is the better choice. - Sleeping in a bed heals you byu 50% no matter how long you sleep, so just sleep for 1 hour at a time, theres no other reason to sleep other than making time pass, which lowers your food and water. - The rot indicator in the UI is off wack, basically you can harvest a berry and it will show as almost rotten. Sound - No negatives to say about the music, the sound effects can be a bit loud in certain interactions, but other than that no problems. The biggest problem here, I still haven't gotten far in the game, this is still considered first impressions. You can get these first impressions in good time for the 2 hour refund mark, which means something needs to be done. But before fixing balance, ui etc. put the early access tag on the game, because this isn't finished. I do find it semi enjoyable, but I also like early access games. Most of them has less problems than this one though. So a not reccomended for now, but the game is cheap, so give it a try and make up your own mind, just know what you are getting into ;) Edit1: Accidentally saved over a different save slot since my mouse was over a different slot ... this could be a problem if yo have different saves, which you most likely will. I clicked save and confirm to save on the last one, but i instead saved on my mouse position. Edit2: Bug, checked achievbements after killing x amount of mobs and getting the message. Everytime you go into the menu, mobs spawns. Yes, they dont even respawn, they spawn. Infinite amount of slimes in font of me, easy exp at least .. Edit3: OMG, f12, steams screenshot button ... RESTARTS THE GAME!!! Edit4: The Weight system feels just pointless, sure it could work if you could get rid of all your stuff,.instead I am currently walking around with an inventory with 1040/124 weight, which means im not able to buy stuff or empty chests. And always have walk speed. If I didnt pick up items over weight, well, i would be able to play like 5 minutes before having to walk back to the shelter to empty the pockets, but with nowhere left to empty them ... Day 8; I have now mastered all crafters but cooking and alchemy, which seems locked behind items i cannot get to yet. By the time I can get milk, its better to go into the mine, kill some mobs, and buy the food instead. (You need quite a lot of money just to unlock the ability to do husbandry, I havent even tried to do the farm, as food rots, and you need electricity for fridge, whereas you can just go to the inn instead.

Bueno... Underground Life. Muchos no funcionan. Bad ending.
Okay, So I will try to be as fair as possible to this game. Underground Life was recommended to me by a friend that was helping hunt for bugs during the game's development. I decided to give the game a chance. While the skeleton of a good game is there, the developer still has a while to go before this is truly good. The UI still feels very clunky, and some of the design choices were odd. I'll use one for an example: When using the bed, a text box will pop up that asks for how long the player would like to sleep. The problem is that the text box popping up will now cover the game's internal clock, leaving players to guess how long they should sleep if they don't have the time memorized. Secondly, it feels like the hit boxes to activate objects are too small. I'm not the greatest at words though. I'm sure others can say what I'm trying to better than I can. I am looking forward to seeing the improvements Remainder Studios implements into Underground Life and any future projects they take on.
Runs bad, controls are bad, no support for controllers, feels like it should be a beta at best.
Game stutters almost constantly and runs poorly. Don't recommend yet but I'm sure they will work on it
Want to love the game but only a strong like so far. I love games like this with the free map and the chance to discover the mysteries surrounding the game. In this game you have quest, crafting, relationship building, dungeons, bosses, travel and farming!!!! (what's not to love) After logging in about 64 hours of play time i can stay it's a solid game and a great concept. I also think there is so much room to grow and make this a great game. Pros free map where you explore and work at your own pace different areas to discover crafting tables the core concept of post apocalyptic living farming and animals nice touch Cons no auto save (sucks especially since it's buggy) should have been early release (imo) all the poisonous enemies vendors don't buy all your crafted items (i had to craft a ton of stuff to level up and just ended up discarding) Things i'd like to see bunkers in other locations (dry border) it would be fun to start on a different map vendors and quest in other location shortcuts to bunker or travel stone Overall i enjoy the game and am still playing and discovering
