TL;DR
A mixed review review but overall I'm more inclined toward a "Recommend", if you're interested, I'd advice to get it sale, worth 5 bucks by today standard. Be weary of a strange DRM.
The main review
I don't even remember how I got this game, probably in a bunble, but I remember thinking "Damn this looks amazing and this is freaking me out" back in the days, and I mean it still have it's charm but the passage of time really erroded both of those facts quite a bit. Still, it's alright. It's more of an horror-esque escape game kind of game, a neat little puzzle game, even though some of them puzzles are really and I mean really strange and esoteric, but most have a logic to it, I say most because for the puzzles who aren't logic they are *really* not logic, and requires you to look really closely at the environement and makes you wonder what you missed. Some people might not like, especially if you don't like the horror vibe and are here for the puzzle this could put you off because scare events can happen randomly in the house, to me though, this aspect is still quite a bit of fun. But moving through the house IS slow paced, but I think that's by design. I got to talk about the general vibe of the house which is amazing, that never really got old, comfy in a weird sort of way, at least until things gets strange. As for the story, if I'm being honest it's kind of cliche by today standard, and you can figure what's going on pretty much in the first room of the game if you are paying attention, but that's alright I don't think it should be the main focus of the game About the DRM though, it have a secondary login for some reason (Not on linux and mac though?) and I almost lost the ability to play it because of the mail adress that the CD-Key (Which is another weird decision) was linked to was very old, which is something to be weary about. In the end I was able to recover it, but your milleage may vary. In the end, this reads and feels more like a first game by the people who made it, and looking at their website it seems that it is. They wanted to make a sequel but that never got anywhere as of me writing this review. I hope they expand that universe, because the vibe is still pretty nice.
An impressively atmospheric indie-adventure game filled with both of horror and chill at the same time. The Mountains, the forest, and an abandoned house within it. It seems like something familiar... a little glimpse inside of it won't hurt, yes?
It was a good game back in the day, might be a bit dated now but it was (and probably still is) painfully underrated in my opinion. Dreampainters are (apparently) working on a sequel to this which as the forum suggests, has many eager fans such as myself patiently waiting for it. The DRM still being apart of this is nonsense in my eyes and needs to be removed (game is 12 years old and not selling much anymore). It puts a lot of people off playing it and smashes the review aggregate scores. Apart from the DRM issue, it is a game I still talk about today and is, as I said, offensively underrated. The atmosphere and 'special events' working in tandem is truly something quite special. You can play the game over and over a few times and things can be subtly different throughout the game. TL;DR: Game itself is fantastic, albeit slightly dated in 2025. The DRM needs to be removed to not put off any new players.
the install process take too long
Garbage written by an obese, bald, woke urinalist who was already calling people who disagreed with him "n*zi" on multiplayer.it 10 years ago. Avoid.
thanks for putting a launcher after the fact that you have to register for for literally no good reason at all. If you don't want us to pirate the game, then don't challenge us like that
