I am not the average game player. I'm 73 years old and just started playing games. I've really liked The Rooms games I've played 2 of them so far. And do highly recommend them. They seem to get more difficult as you play more games. I'm going to try Rooms III hope it's enjoyable also.
A única coisa que continua me deixando completamente perdido é a história hahaha.
The second game is much harder than the first. It moves away from the 'matryoshka doll' style of the original and introduces larger, interconnected areas that require more complex thinking. Some puzzles felt a bit too obscure, forcing me to rely on guides, but when the difficulty hits that 'sweet spot,' it remains a very fun experience.
This is "no" for photosensitivity/accessibility and settings. The game is mostly fine as a game for a non-photosensitive person and puzzles are mostly enjoyable BUT, here are my complaints. Flashing, there is too much. The shape light puzzle to open chapter end doors for example, I have to have my husband do it, and then I need to not watch till the door appears in the wall. In future games (or patches) a toggle to disable the flashing/glitching would be good. Old timey flickery video effect was too much for my photosensitivity. I understand what you were going for oviously but certainly just making it sepia toned or a "slideshow" rather than the rapid flickery type used here is better for accessibility (or a toggle to choose between the default vs a slow slideshow.) I like this genre and do hope they continue making puzzley games, just with a little more mind to accessibility needs of some gamers. <3
CONTAINS RED AND WHITE FLASHING THAT THE GAME DID NOT HAVE A WARNING FOR.
Unplayable for anyone with photosensitivity please do not hurt yourself with this game like I did. As far as I managed to play tho, this is not the same game as the first one, the puzzles are a lot more unintuitive and less clever, mainly just requiring you to push levers in the right order and click around blindly hoping to find the right spot to activate something because this one requires you to read the mind of the developers to figure out. I could not proceed further with the game nor finish it because of the flashing
A good sequal to the first game, but just not as memorable to me. Very fun to still play and solve the puzzles and visually stunning. Our journey for the null element continues on.
not even 2 bucks for such a high quality, engaging puzzle game feels like i just robbed the devs blind; go get it and play it. let's all be puzzle uncs together
Why, Lisa, why, WHY?!
I'm really conflicted because while I enjoyed this game, there is a part near the very end that was almost impossible for me, mechanically. The story and puzzles were as good as the first one and the air of foreboding was better in this one. But while I was able to figure out the puzzles and the game wasn't broken, there's a part [in the last room] where you have to click and hold and turn something, and you need to do so rapidly, consistently, and for a long-ish period of time. I have said it so vaguely to avoid spoilers but when you get there you will understand. I only use mouse and keyboard for point-and-click games because I have a movement disorder and it makes it hard to click *and* hold *and* move the mouse. This made the game close to unplayable for me, but since I had already done SO much I pushed through but I am in physical pain and I will feel it tomorrow. I enjoyed the game (mostly) so I want to recommend it but also I am SO angry that I was forced to the point of physical pain (my wrist is numb but tomorrow it will be screaming at me) to finish the game that I can't in good conscience recommend it. I'm asking the developers to fix that ONE THING (or ideally any time you have to "physically" turn something, like a jar lid or a key, etc) and I will change my rating. I have the last two games (The Room III and IV) but I'm not sure I even want to start them if I won't be able to finish them.
