Alexander the Great: Secrets of Power

Game pastime, hidden objects, adventure. PLOT Year 336 A.V. Alexander the Great, ascends the throne thanks to his mother Olympiad. He inherits from Hercules 3 artifacts a dagger, a ring and the crown, with these he has great power. But Alexander is certainly not a person who is satisfied, he decides to go to the temple of Shiva and asks the priest to receive more power. But this great power has a price to pay, Alexander in his pride does not listen to the priest does not care about the consequences he just wants to start the rite and lays the crown on the altar. But something goes wrong, the artifact has given him too much power and so Alex will have to pay for it, not only him but also his descendants... OUR DAYS: We interpret a descendant of Alexander, we receive a letter from a foundation of rare objects, we are asked to participate in an experiment with artifacts found, because a legend tells that these finds belonged to the King can give extraordinary powers to the descendants. What would you do? Would you accept the invitation? We can count on the help of Oscar our lawyer, so we immediately set off to go to Paella, a small town in Greece. But arrived at the ruins of the temple we wonder what mess we got into!! An artifact has been stolen, plus there is another descendant who would like power for himself, so our lives are in danger. We will have a lot to do if we want to collect all the artifacts and prevent them from falling into the wrong hands, but it is worth it we can reveal the secret of the great Alexander. PLAYABILITY As graphics it is made quite well, supported by beautiful movies; the scenes search-objects I found a little difficult you need to sharpen the view well because the objects are a little piled up and some are hidden by others. The minigames are fun to complete I didn't skip them even if someone is a little more challenging. Beautiful idea to use the Smartphone, because it reflects reality, each of us uses it to do research and receive help, in fact if you click on it it opens and you can use it to take photos, consult your Diary, do historical research, review movies, check calls, manual and Information. Very beautiful the soundtrack seems to be in a historical film, it involves you and transmits a spirit of adventure. You can also use the map at the bottom left to move quickly and to see where there are actions available. I recommend this object-finder the plot is interesting, even historically it is quite accurate regarding the news that is reported in the game. Once there was a Time where i was waiting for new Hidden Object Games (HOG) from Artifex Mundi. They made great Series and it was each time a great pleasure playing them. But then one day … it stopped. It became quiet und no more HOG´s were released. But i love HOG´s and i was looking for new ones. I tried many oft hem. Some were good, some were bad. But now i found the new Studio Best Games Collection. After the fantastic Start MYSTERY OF MORTLAKE MANSION now their second Game on Steam. Welcome to ALEXANDER THE GREAT: SECRETS OF POWER. You are a Descendant of Alexander the Great. Yes THE Alexander the Great. It was a secret, but Alexander got 3 Artifacts, that once gave him great Powers. A Crown, a Dagger and a Ring. In wrong hands this three Artifacts will cause much, much damage. And of course there is one evil Person trying to get them. Könnte es bitte mehr historische Hidden Object Spiele geben? Nach langer Zeit, habe ich mal wieder ein Hidden Object angeworfen. Da Artifex Mundi aufgehört hat neue zu bringen, schaute ich mich um. Warum dann nicht einfach ältere re-releasen? Dieses Spiel ist von 2012 und holy, es ist fantastisch! Natürlich muss man es in Relationen setzen. Es ist kein Triple A Spiel, dennoch ist die Qualität für Hidden Object und der Zeit schon großartig. Auch Sprites + reale Fotos oder "FMV Elemente" Rätsel sind manchmal zwar zu einfach, dafür für einen gemütlichen Abend nach der Arbeit "gute leichte Kost". Sowie noch ein sehr "geerdetes" Hidden Object gameplay, ohne technischen Standard, im Gegensatz zu anderen Genrevertretern die es die letzen Jahre weiterentwickelt haben. (Dies ist dennoch ganz gut zu verkraften.) Das beste Element, ist hierbei der historische Aspekt und die "alternativ Story" die drumherum erzählt wurde. Ich mag die Verbindung zwischen historische Ereignisse die passiert sind und das spielerische, was innerhalb der geschichtlichen Vorlage noch erzählt werden kann. Stella Games hat hier eine gute Story drumherum gestickt, auch wenn die Charaktere keinen großen Tiefgang besitzen. HH-Games ballern Spiele ohne Ende auf Steam, auch wenn das release Datum meist nur re-release bedeutet. Dennoch ist es schön, dass somit der Publisher ältere kleinere Spiele, sowie neue auf Steam bringt. Gerne mehr! Sollte man als Genrefan gespielt haben. The graphics and game play for me are excellent. A lot of hidden object scenes with puzzles here and there instead of the other way round. I really enjoy these type of games with a story line that is informative and not extremely verbose. Accolades to the designers and graphic artists on the numerous HOGs . If you are looking for a nice relaxing game without having to jump around a lot and with just enough challenge to keep you playing, I highly recommend this game. I hope you will continue with this genre of HOG games. I am not an expert and am over 70, so I like games that take it easy.

Again with no Mini-Game descriptions? I get that most people who come play these are already familiar with what they are supposed to do... But even someone like myself was confused about a puzzle or two. This is where you "click around and freaking figure it out". Great for nowadays people with no patience. Even if we move past that point, this game is hella laggy. The menu is laggy. Going from place to place is laggy. And I swear... One time... I clicked more than 20x to just go back a scene!!! Sigh. I will also dock you for using incorrect item descriptions at times. That shouldn't be a case with a game that's build *mostly* on H.O. scenes!!! Story: Well, the Legend is great, but the actual story with the character you play? My goodness. All the characters are idiotic or useless or both. Oscar is useless. Those two "other ones" are useless and morons to high hell. The Main Character... Talks a lot and says things that I can figure out for myself!!! And the ending... Okay, I just can't anymore. The game didn't crash, so I kept playing it... And I did like "going into the past" and that the puzzles weren't overly complicated... WHEN I could figure out wth I was supposed to do that is... But some H.O. scenes... Man, I swear some items were chameleons and I dislike having to stick my face super close to the screen itself. I don't know. This wasn't overly bad and it does work... It's just something one MAYBE play in passing? When they played everything else? But if the optimization is the way it is... That might be an issue for certain PCs. >.> Nah. Bravo Stella games! What a delightful surprise. This game combined hidden object scenes with mini games and puzzles, time travel and exquisitely detailed locations. Having played hundreds of these type games, this one kept compelling me to keep going. I couldn't walk away from it! The hidden object scenes were harder than average, yet all of the items were indeed there somewhere, and not hidden behind something else. The acting and music were also great. This game combined modern technology with ancient artifacts. Puzzles were more fun for me by not having a great deal of instruction. The game provides the option to skip any puzzles you may find too difficult. It also features a built in system of note-taking in the form of a smartphone. Pertinent clues were automatically captured as a photo on the smartphone and then the photo automatically appeared on screen when trying to solve the actual corresponding puzzle. I enjoyed the fast travel by map feature, but also the concise site and historical information given through the smartphone while in flight to your next destination. This was truly a globe-trotting adventure. If you are a fan of the Hidden Expedition HOPA series, you will enjoy this one. Well done, Stella Games. I'm standing at my desk applauding. Great game with all the classic hidden object/puzzle challenges you expect. Not as pretty as most of the Artifex Mundi games but still worth playing if your like the genre.

Considering that this is a modern game, it is not optimized at all for high resolution monitors. The game is very bad compared to other games in the genre. You can click on the correct items multiple times without it trigerring them, because their hitbox not matching the items.... On top of that they are wrongly naming items you need to find. Happens multiple times. Example a sucofocus and a pharaoh aren't the same thing. Like saying a king and a grave is the same thing..... Also really disliked the MC, talking to us like we are kids... Avoid this one, there are much better games in the genre.

Look no further if you want a classic and casual HOG in which scenes are full of random items, logical puzzles and fairly interesting story.
