ЗОНБИТЕЛЬНО НО ОУКЭЭЭЭЭЙ ЗОНБИ МОНЗГИ КУШАААТ
If you wanna practice your kiting skills, this is the game for it. The first wave had 75 zombies, and it only goes up from there, the house seemingly serving no purpose outside of the plot unless you choose to replicate round 1 of Nacht Der Untoten. A much more effective strategy is to go outside and roam around, picking off zombies as efficiently as possible. There are no AOE weapons or throwables, so the guns feel like they have no variation, aside from range and ammo. The same can be said for the zombies, who (With the exception of
spitters
and
spider hosts
) only really change in speed and sprite design. On top of that, the progression system seems gratuitous; movement and reload time feeling slow even with upgrades. A much different, but in my opinion still very valid issue, is the soundtrack; much more upbeat than it is eerie, which given the intense stylisation and theme of the game seems like quite a peculiar choice. All this aside, the game really just wasn’t all that challenging. I only died once and it was on a progression screen in-between waves where I decided to go AFK. It just wasn’t an enjoyable experience.

Wtf. there is zero challange. i honestly have no idea how someone can make such a non-game.
The Zombified Dogs in Waves of Rotting Flesh are actually scarier than the Cerberus from RE1!
Jokes aside, if we ignore that the game doesn't have a pause function, and it doesn't offer any checkpoints / save progression for Standard mode - I would say the game's pretty decent, especially when you take its price into consideration. There are 6 enemy types, 2 of which are intertwined - the Alien Spider parasites and their Zombified Screamer carriers. [strike](A downside of the standard Zombies is the fact there are only 2 variants - your typical looking Zombies, and Skeletal Zombies.)[/strike] The game features a Standard / Story mode consisting of 10 in-game days, and a couple of Endless gamemodes. The progression system allows you to unlock 2 weapons at once with each passing day, or unlock a weapon & upgrade the hero's stats once. There's a decent variety of weapons in the game, although you can go full-on Abraham Ford mode once you get the M16, and beat the game easily. You might lose some health in the process, but it's unlikely you'll die - like I mentioned before, there are no checkpoints or saves, so once you die, your progress gets reset, and you go all the way back to the first day. Do keep in mind this review was written at a time in which I haven't tried out any of the Endless modes, so far I have only beaten the Standard mode. Get the game, especially if you're trying to kill a few hours with a visually unique-looking First-Person Zombie Shooter.
Can't recommend this. The early game drags so hard. You can walk outside the house and entire waves cease to be threatening. Your weapons are terrible and reload very slowly. Just feels bad - I hate beating up on something this cheap, but I got sold by the positive reviews so it needs some negative ones.
great game really fun and simple!
Barebones is putting it lightly, there is one map, the model filled house is a death trap, so the best choice is to run through the woods, at which point it feels like it's even less than it is. You get 3 melee, 2 pistols, 2 shotguns, single shot rifle and AR. The pistol, melee and shotguns are very similar to each other, and are straight up upgrades. Besides that you have a choice of faster reload, better accuracy or damage for certain weapons, or the last two being more running speed and tougher barricades. There isn't anything more, so each run isn't that more varied than previous one. Each new wave you get new enemy type, and those often have the exact same animations, like the weapons do, besides walkers, there are dogs and bulls, as the more unique ones, and spider infested walkers and slowing gas ones, who walk and die the same way. For the 2 hours it's mkay to just turn off the mind and shoot zombies for a bit, especially as it costs almost nothing. I've been drawn as the others, thanks to the unusal 2 tone paint XP graphics, honestly with much more polish, variety, lively animations, and some nice horrory levels to explore, it could be something actually amazing, I know it was not advertised anywhere as something like that, but I had that thought at the back of my mind for the most time I was just mowing down AI-less sprites every wave here. If a simple FPS-maker project with unique visuals is enough for you, then go ahead and grab it, otherwise there is nothing unique about it besides the visual choice.
Cheap, somewhat mindless little wave shooter with a pretty neat art style. Not great but not bad, definitely worth $0.50 if it's on sale and you want to kill 90 minutes.
Just a nice little wave survival game with good art and ambiance. If you have two bucks to spare I would recommend you pick it up and give it a go.
